Don't worry man, they only work about 20% of the time in the US but no one here knows how anything works anymore and they buy a new car

What if they ere well greased would that not help the life of the adjuster so it wouldn't seize

yes but not too much, grease attracts dirt/dust, but yes definately not have it bone dry

If my brakes do not self adjust via handbrake (during normal operation) and I work on my vehicle myself and know it is NOT rusted solid, how can I fix it?

If its not seized, then its something mis aligned

Hi have the same set up in my car prado LJ95 1998 model with a 3L engine. My rear right brakes keep sticking up after readjusting. I have adjusted probably 3 times in the past 3 months. The brake cylinders are free with no leaks. After adjustment it slowly starts to tighten. Could this be the reason? Self tightening everytime i pull handbrakes? Can this be by-passed?

maybe your drum or shoes is too far worn? thus over tightening to compensate and becoming jammed

@@saebbi my shoes are new but it is the same drum from 1998 😊. I was thinking of removing the hand brake connection to this drum. For a while for parking on the slopes i was slotting it into four low as my hand brake. But we forget and without thinking pull the hand brakes. I knew it was something to do with hand brakes but what exactly i couldn't figure out until i saw your video👍. I will slightly twist that adjuster and see.

How do you loosen it back off my one won’t turn back?

theres an access port in the back, push away the lock mechanism and turn the spur while holding away
