Will always prefer the way Supernatural used to be filmed. The colors were darker and dirtier. Made the world feel a lot more scary compared to later seasons.

@@Necrodzentelmenel1 at that moment we didn't know they could do that then. It was kind of a retcon. So when it comes up contemporaneously it doesn't make sense. If you look at it knowing the next few seasons it seems more plausible without specifically showing them doing it.

@@JrobAlmighty I'd say back then it was even more plausible if anything, because there was no "the Empty" or anything so it was basically just a matter of power. Also, Lucifer could just transport past Cas to the present if he wanted to, and I don't think some memory magic is too absurd for that time.

In season four, when the angels were introduced, they had been away from Earth for a while, on purpose. They had stopped messing around with things. Even before they backed off, their interactions with humans were limited. Not since biblical days had they had the level of interaction that Cas had with Dean. Maybe not even then. It would have been bizarre had they *not* humanized from their sudden repeated contact with humans.

Too bad Raphael was done such a disservice. Lucifer is the only archangel that is shown as truly strong. Gabriel, as the trickster, showed great powers. Reality warping, illusions, creating sentient life forms, time manipulation, etc. and we learn he got most of this from Lucifer. But he got owned in every fight. Raphael is supposed to be the strongest being at this point, a freaking ARCHANGEL, it should’ve been WAY harder to defeat him.
