What armor are you using in this video?

The armor set is the Explorer's cosmetic set that you can craft at the bard. And I think the helm is from the Elder which is a world drop in Kindlewastes :)

I'm enjoying the game solo, exploring is interesting and there's enough creepy tension in some places. Not a big fan of the weird combat though, enemies move around like they're in a responsive action game, not a sluggish first person one. It's also weird the game has such a focus on crafting and building when it doesn't really fit the premise. It would be cool if putting gear on NPCs let them generate better resources from the estate and if all crafting and building could just be delegated to them and the player just lays the blueprints for what they want. It's a bit disappointing as well how the endgame loop is just getting bigger numbers on gear instead of letting us become more magically powerful and capable of more fae like feats.

Agreed. In general I think the world design is quite strong in Nightingale. Yeah, I think I might be in the minority, with actually liking the combat haha. I think the dash alleviates any sluggishness more or less entirely. Would definitely like to see the the NPC systems expanded on. The endgame, story, biome diversity really needs to be expanded upon along with more tools, spells and stuff. But that’s what the Early Access tag is for I guess.

I’m using a regular 4070, max settings. But I’m pretty sure you could achieve similar performance with worse hardware as it definitely wasn’t pushing my system. I strongly recommend it if the overall gameplay loop sounds like something you’d like! I’d probably wait for the Steam winter sale tomorrow though, as I can’t imagine it won’t go on sale.

Mounts are cool, but i especially want flying mounts as theres already a working flying mechanic in the game and i dont see how they would upgrade the gliders anymore (outside of bringing back the endless updraft thing) a. So having a small dragon or one of the desertbirds that can glide and gain height as long as they got stamina would be a nice addition. Buildingmode...i need (desperatly) a freebuild cam. By that i mean to be able to disconnect the camera inside the buildzone to make it easier to build in general and would give us better acces to right now hard to see angles (as the character is in the way a lot). I do not want a freecam that works anywhere, i just want it to work in the buildingzone (and a couple meters outside the zone of course so you can get an overview) not outside so people cant cheat with it. Also the amount of scaffolding required for alrge structures would be minimized. (less blocks better fps) Freakin Floorgrates. Right now we have a lot of grates, windows and other vertical structures that would be of great use for floors aswell if i could just turn them 90 degrees... More recouces per hit. 200% is nice, but 500% would be so much better. To explain i do very big and detailed builds and have to spend more time grinding than actually building my stuff and that is very annoying to me. I would like to be read the lore pages to. As i normally just dont bother reading them and have no idea about the lore at all. If they would autoplay the pages and books in the background while i continue playing that would not be an issue. DO not nerf any of the movement options, loosing the endless updraft from the begining has almost killed the game for me. Dont you touch my doublejump :D
@RascallyRasmus
@RascallyRasmus 13 күн бұрын
That is a pretty good point - that there's not really anywhere to go in terms of glider upgrades. And a dragon mount would be pretty cool for the late game! Completely agree with the freebuild cam. And that's a great idea to just enable rotating existing items. In general being able to rotate stuff in all directions would just be a nice addition for all the creative builders out there. I also agree with the resource setting and that should obviously be a relatively simple tweak. I think most other options would benefit from having their range expanded too. So people can tweak the game even further to the experience they want. Yeah, I feel a codex could easily have all the lore pages as you find them too. I'd prefer keeping my double jump too haha

I don't understand why they don't have water that is a very basic thing that even minecraft has. Not having water in the game i think is one of the single biggest misses of the game. A world like this with out water just doesn't seem right especially with all the bioms. I don't like your idea on active abilities. At that point you are creating world of warcraft, diablo etc. All of your improvements are trying to change what the game is you are solely focused on the combat, loot, etc. This is only a portion of the game, it is primarily a building game with a splash of combat. Double jump and gliders make 100% that they are in the skill tree. This forces you to make choices whether you want to be adventure based or optimized for combat.
@RascallyRasmus
@RascallyRasmus 13 күн бұрын
Pretty sure the lack of water is a limitation of the engine, and that they’re trying to implement it without causing massive performance issues. That’s fair! I’m not proposing a whole actionbar of abilities but just a few options throughout the skill tree but I can understand not wanting that. I mean sure, my ideas are focused on the things that I personally think the game is lacking or the things that I think would make the game more fun. It’s not a comprehensive list. What would you like to see added? :) I don’t think I agree with the sentiment that enshrouded is primarily a building game though. While building certainly is a big part of the game and it can be played that way, the sandbox world, exploration, combat and the game’s RPG systems are in my opinion not secondary to the building. As for double jump and the glider skill that’s a good point. Especially when it comes to the glider ability. I still think double jump is borderline mandatory both for exploration and combat though.

Icarus, Nightingale and Enshrouded are the ones I'm most likely to buy. That being said, I have one question: wich one would you recommend? Considering that they're pretty much the same price I'm very unsure which one to choose T-T (Btw: I play mostly of the time with 1 or 2 friends) Thank you very much in advance for your attention, keep doing your content, it's amazing :D

Thank you so much! It’s comments like this that makes KZbin worth doing! I haven’t played Icarus yet actually. It is on my list though. As for Nightingale or Enshrouded it’s a tricky question. Honestly not sure which my favorite is. They’re pretty different from each other - Enshrouded is a lot more Action RPG like with loot drops and a skill tree whereas Nightingale is a more pure crafting survival game, granted it obviously also has some RPG elements. I really enjoy both games but I think it is a safer bet that everyone will enjoy Enshrouded when playing with friends. Also worth noting that Nightingale was 40% off during Black Friday sale and I feel there’s a pretty good chance it’ll be discounted again for/after Christmas. Whereas Enshrouded typically only gets a 20% discount. I hope that helps with picking one :)

Make magic chests in a base all one inventory that expands with every new chest added. Would also be nice if you could pick up and move chests without having to empty them first. Nothing is more fun that building a great new base you want to use as your main and having to empty each chest one-by-one and make a bunch of trips back and forth to move your inventory.

Also have bosses drop different legendary loot.Get rid of bed requirements for some animals/i.e hares and chickens..rework the skill tree is 1 point for this and 4 points for this and its all over the place in my opinion.

I wish wands didn't suck so badly, their targetting is laughably awful and their damage means they're very selectively useful... plus being unable to dodge is a bleh. I'm not sure if anyone has said it in the comments below but when building a basement selecting terrain 4x4 allows you to quickly carve out a space that's flat and snug. As for the wands hopefully they'll change them to be a better close quarters weapon... (some labels for chests wouldn't hurt either). Oh and that reminds me of another build tip for storage, building a 2x2 wall then three blocks over placing another allows for neat little "cubicles" they'll fit within. This can allow for a crafting hall to feel more tidy if someone is a lil ocd like me.
@RascallyRasmus

I don't think wands are too bad. I agree that they feel pretty bad to use though - both when it comes to their aim & especially when it comes to being locked into the animation! Oh wow.. btw, the big mushroom, is not a one time tikket. every meal that gets cooked and eaten for the first time with the big mushroom as an ingredient adds further max hp if cooked for the first time, you'll get 2 meals, so you can take one for a friend of for an other charackter. an other tip but i don't know if its a spoiler, cause nobody on youtube tells you that,... you can pick up mob spawners from arenas and use the little figurines in order to spawn them via a generator, so you can set up your own pokemon battles XD
@RascallyRasmus
@RascallyRasmus 16 күн бұрын
Not sure if I'm misunderstanding what you mean, but as far as I can tell, consuming the giant mushroom only increases max health permanently once whether it's consumed by itself or in a cooked meal. It used to be useable repeatedly which led to people having a TON of health. I really like the little mobspawners and I don't consider them a spoiler. It was definitely something that took me a LONG time to realized you could do though, so I think it's a pretty good tip - I did actually talk about them in one of my later videos :)
@BlackRainEntertain

@@RascallyRasmusyou got me right, big mushroom number 1 uncooked gives 25 hp, all additional big mushrooms cooked with an other ingredient increase max hp additionally, but with a smaller number. like only ten or 15 hp. my hp bonusless mage sitts on 1117 hp and his healthpercentage magic barrier absorbs a jelliefish throughn by a krakenarm without cracking. still have arround 20 dishes to cook but it already feels like i unlocked godmode xD it realy confused me that the cooked dishes increased the hp for less, so i double and tripple checked before i started throughing the excess stuff into a chest for my friend the worst thing is, before i realized that i throug away like ten big mushrooms cause i thought i wouldn't need them anymore.
