I so agree with you on the funnel neck or loose high neck are not dangly earring friendly either. I love the classiness of corduroy garments so like old country estate and is very rugged vs suede (more lux fabric) both been around a very long time. Denim on denim has always been called the Canadian tuxedo (?), it does not bring western to mind (denim jeans, cotton shirts (it hot on the range), vests, leather chaps, western hats (styled so rain would run off back), long trench coats (leather or thick canvas) and western boots with different toe shape option. There are a few shops in my area that caters to cowboy/farmer with tools of the trade, and it gear. The outdoor vibe has always been the tough flannel, denim, thick and also breathable cottons, leathers. It is taking these things and mixing it with things like maxi dresses or wearing it with trousers or putting a leather vest under a blazer that give off rancher Sunday go to meeting vibe or them coming to the city or their teens mixing it up to give the urban cowboy vibe. I am at the age that I need to wear my stuff and I want to have fun this year and being in my 60s my taste has warped into eclectic flavor. I am having some fun right now going through my Fall items and hanging them up as autumn color leaves are starting to blow around the yard.

I want to get an oxblood barn jacket a lil bit. And also I’m getting a cocoon coat if it’s all I buy -perfect for us anemic cookies 😂😂 I’m really uncomfortable with plaid (4 years of plaid skirts in school triggered lol) I want to have some tailored suiting this season- I don’t own any . I’m kinda blah about the aesthetics/costumes being pushed . It has had its place when you’re trying new things but it’s a fine line towards not being true to yourself in a lot of cases . I love my barn jacket! I got it in the men's department almost a year ago and love it!! They only had it in one color I'm so into it I bought it in multiple sizes and have already dyed one of them and will be dying another one. Depending on how I'm styling it determines whether I wear my size small or size medium. I laughed so hard at your comments about my barn jacket. But when you talk about personal style you are absolutely speaking my language because I'm known to wear what I wear with no regard for other peoples opinions.
