Is it just me or does it seem like half the fires in NYC are e-bike fires????

@@SkylerFire how do you do your videos?Are you already out when they happen or do you listen to a scanner and drive to the location?
@donnamitchell770720 сағат бұрын
Excellent footage Skylar. There needs to be a stict warning ⚠ for ALL e-bikes that they are NEVER to be charged overnight. That's one of the biggest problem with those bikes. It's in the manual that comes with the bike. People are just to lazy to read it, and abide by it. They may need to ban them for the point to get across. I hope you have a great day my friend, and stay safe ❤️🙂⚘️🚒.

Had no clue that SQ800 was still a thing lol. I'm guessing it was E165 and then Squad 8 before they got the new rig? Did it run as an engine or a squad when it was 165?
@SkylerFire2 күн бұрын
Been a thing for awhile. Yes it was 165 then SQ8…. Ran as a hazmat tech engine.
@stevenscott21353 күн бұрын
Why is the division chief carrying a blitz nozzle, would think the FDNY can purchase a few of them and place them on Engine companies.
@SkylerFire3 күн бұрын
By giving one to each division makes it available at every fire. Currently only foam tankers and hazmat tech engines have them. There is a 197 engines can’t give one to everyone.

As always great video! Two questions... 1). Why the locks on the compartment doors? 2). You've now shown a rescue, ladder, and a couple squads... All of them respond to MVA's but none of them seem to carry a big complement of cribbing. They all have a few 2x4's but certainly not enough to stabilize or actually properly capture a load if they were going to use the airbags. What is their doctrine for stabilization? (I ask because I've never seen a rescue or any apparatus that regularly responds to MVA's NOT have an entire compartment of cribbing.)
@SkylerFire5 күн бұрын
It’s locked so nothing goes missing. Minimum cribbing for accidents. The rescues have the struts. Squad 2nd pieces have the struts. And collapse rescues have struts and full cribbing
