@guanbowen5863 and what is in that movement that is not in tps kit? Overlay system is just a layer animation, which is also used in tps kit, but in better way. In tps it is called weapon grip. You can add any amount of new ones including animations, without going into any blueprint.

@@guanbowen5863 I'm not talking about blend space. That's different thing. I wrote about node "layer per bone" - you call it "overlay system" - that's just made up name for ALS :) Setup there is just using simply layer per bone node. As of legs - I'm not sure what you mean exactly. If you could give me detailed feedback on Discord for example, I could improve. Remember you can replace all animations easily and tweak everything.

Thanks! What you would need from there? I think you mean more about motion matching - this is experimental feature now so it is problematic. Also I don't know motion matching. What's wrong with what is in TPS Kit?

@@ICONA148 I will see what I can do. Another downside is that motion matching is since UE 5.4 so I would have to drop support for older engines. ALS is not on motion matching. TPS Kit also have animation states and ton of animation features.

@@ICONA148 well. I head of motion matching now in UE5.4 is very resources-consuming. I planed to try AGLS1.1 posted few weeks ago, but some people said it's not getting there with many bugs 😂 and cons of motion matching and suggest this kit.

Make a tutorial on how to change the character and the weapon settings made for the main character to work on any other character, for example another character straight from the Unreal Marckplace store, because I added another character and the animation for picking up the weapons were all wrong , did not adjust to the body of the new character placed in the Aminamtion Sample. it took me 4 hours to follow this and I must have made a mistake because it not working, should not take hours to add a new gun. The project is mad complex and I regret buying it, there are good things about it it but its not easy to customise things , point being, look at what you have to do to add a weapon.

Thanks for making this tutorial! It's great to see how it should be done, but after completing the tutorial I wonder if it would be possible to add some presets for MetaHuman in the next version that might make the process easier. MetaHuman is becoming pretty integral to UE, so it would make it easier for everyone using the package. I realize there's no one-click solution since they're a MH can be all sort of different body types though! Great work on the package btw!

Hi Marcin, I bought your template, it is absolutely brilliant. I'm having a lot of troubles switching my character with the template character though.. I built a character in Zbrush, Maya and Substance, then rigged and Skinned in Maya with Z+ up in worldspace same as if you downloaded a Mixamo character. The problem occurs in the part where the character stretches. I'm using 5.4 and I don't see the option to select "Recursively Set Translation Retargeting Skeleton".. I don't see that menu at all. Half of those options in 5.4 aren't displayed (on your video Time 5:27) My character remains stretched and the hands messed up. He also swims through the floor. I recorded my own 3 minute video to show I followed the exact steps but when It comes to this section, that menu doesn't seem to be there in 5.4.. I seem to have found a bug. When I don't have any weapons in my equipment bar, the first time I pick up a knife, and then pick up a pistol, the knife is automatically discarded. How can I solve it?

Tutorial for zombie you mean? Now it is much easier. There is a melee enemy already. You just need to swap model and melee attack animations. I made tutorials for both.

i having issue where the guns point up and side to side but when i try to point them down they won't the cross hair will point down and you will shoot the ground but your guns won't point down then when you crouch the head won't tilt up till a second after so it stairs at the floor can someone help me with a fix for this ?

@@MarcinMatuszczykGame i wish i could man i can send pics but videos my pc wont let me it has no camcorder built in and my girl has the phone basically what's going on is when i go to point the guns they will move left to right and upwards towards sky but when i point down the crosshairs points down and the bullets shoot ground but the guns stay pointed forwards and when i crouch my guys head points down and it takes a few seconds for him to point his head forward

Currently I can't use it because it is not available in UE4 which is Engine version I still support. In the future release will drop that support eventually and will be able to change to enhanced input. I think that could be in 2.3 update. As of now, there is a tutorial on Discord how to change it to enhanced input.

I think explaining trace channels for the side exit points would be a good idea. Top is for the left, bottom is for the right. I mean the top trigger box is an entirely different BP. I'm using DragonIK for foot IK. Not to be nitpicky 🙂

@@MarcinMatuszczykGame Hi, I'm using foot ik and my character was stepping on the trigger boxes for the ladder. When you add more spots on the ladder to get off on the left side, you're duplicating BP_LadderTopLeavingArea. So I just made it so that my character's foot ik doesn't collide with that trigger box. Anyway, it doesn't really matter because I was able to figure it out. I just thought others may want to know in order to save time 🙂⌚
