My m6 wasn’t spraying and I think it’s the nozzle. But when I took it apart I noticed that I don’t have a filter (where you poured the water). Is this a defect? Do I need one? I’ve only ever used iRobot cleaners so the clogged nozzles a mystery. Your videos are great and if I can’t get my nozzle clean I will definitely order yours.

You need that filter because the middle of it presses on the bottom of the tanks valve release the water, without it, it won't spray

So i did all that, replaced the nozzle and it's still just drizzling out. The tubes all seem OK. Could that round piece with the gasket on it be the culprit? What is that piece called in case i have to replace it?

Probably the filter under the tank or the tanks cap (which I'd also the tank air vent)

Thank you for the time you spent on this video. I just purchased a 'new/never used' M6 from FB marketplace. Despite its described condition and pictures on-line, I could tell that it had been used at least 1 time. Got it home and no squirty squirts were happening. A quick search of Ytube and yours was the first video to exactly match my issue. It was exactly as you described the hose and I was done in less than an hour. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Saved $325 vs a retail M6.

My m6 was throwing a "wheel stuck error." I've torn down the wheel on the robot to find out it was the electric motor inside that burned. Replacing it was much easier than soldering wires together, I would definitely recommend looking into that before cutting any wires

Thank you for this! iRobot sent me the wrong instructions and given they wanted me to fix this myself, I instantly brought up your video and went to town. I had to take the top off 3 times because I kept forgetting to do something, and the third time, go to so fed up, I ended up breaking the connector on the board. Doh! I'm hoping iRobot will either send a replacement board or let me buy it. Though, I might try my hand at surface mount soldering.

@aureliepasquier9117 try removing the cap and soaking and cleaning the cap, especially the back middle rubber part (that's the air vent) and that air vent that allows air into the tank as water is let out. Otherwise your tank will hydro lock. ( it's like filling a straw with water and keeping your finger on one end, it doesn't release water from the straw until your finger is removed). Clean that cap, and test your tank again like before

Thanks a lot for the video man. This is imo a very bad design. I got mine in 2020, it never worked long. After 6 months it stopped working. DIdn't charge anymore. The charging pins had been totally corroded. The service said it was user damage and refused to replace it. Eventually the shop agreed this was outrageous and they gave me a new one. That one lasted 4 months. THen it stopped spraying as you explained here. Eventually I was given another unit: my 3rd one. That one had the same issue up till today. It works about 4 months and then it stops spraying. Would it be a better idea to replace that little tube which you showed by a metal one?

Great video! My M6 has the same problem and your video will be a great help. Minor point- you showed pin-hinge assembly at 8:30 but then at 10:00 the pin was off the assembly. Then later you showed pin installation again. Maybe you wanted to assemble the pin first before final assembly but then you realized it was not possible and the pin was removed. But you didn't explain it in the video. Again a small issue and viewers probably can figure it out. I can see your motivation for pre-assemble the pin because you demonstrated in the later section how difficult it was in the final assembly. Thanks again for the great video and helping the consumers!

I have this error "uneven ground" for months now, and I was excited when I saw your video. I opened the Braava again, but unfortunately, it's not due to the magnet; both magnets are in their places. Is there any other idea, fix tips?
@brobots240
@brobots240 4 ай бұрын
Replace the wheel is the best option then, there are two parts to that error, the magnet, and the sensors. If your magnets are intact, it's a 99% chance it's the sensor, so you'll need to replace the wheel.
@idovecer
@idovecer 4 ай бұрын
@@brobots240 Too bad, because as far as I understood, you can't be sure which wheel is the issue, whether it's the sensor on the left or right, so you need to buy both wheels. The price for these motors is approximately 200-300EUR. It was cheaper for me to get another used working Braava for 100EUR, so the first one (with Uneven ground" error now can be used for spare parts. Regarding the wheel replacement, is it even possible to change the wheels? I heard that in such cases, the entire base with electronics and wheels needs to be replaced because everything is glued and protected against moisture, so nothing can be replaced individually. And that only the front part, which hits the wall, can be replaced, then the lid and the liquid container, Braava upper lid, and possibly the motor and parts used for liquid spraying and the battery. Everything else is available as a single piece, and the cost of that is around 200-300EUR.

My s9 is plagued with the error 31. I read that doing a deep clean of the connectors can help. My troubleshooting led me to think my issue was in the bumper. Thanks to your video, I was able to remove the bumper and dust it pretty well with a compressed air canister. What I was looking for was hidden wire bundles during the disassembly and you pointed them out every time, so I didn't rip them apart so thank you! Robot seems to be working better now. FYI your time stamps are a little off but thank you for providing them and the bumper is definitely in the front of the robot, you label it as "rear bumper".

This is evidently a weak spot of the M6. My lid hinge has broken exactly as shown in this video, and some searching around has found others complaining about the same thing. Unfortunately, the ebay listing linked below is "Out of stock" and I've exhausted my search to find a replacement elsewhere. Seems the only recourse for a direct replacement is to buy another used/broken M6 from ebay and strip it for its parts. I have a hobby machine shop so I'm going to see if I can figure a way to make a complete new hinge assembly from aluminum (that I'll screw/bolt onto the original lid) so that it won't break again. A big job, but I'm recently retired and this'll keep me busy for a while. :-/ P.S. This was a great video with all the necessary detail. Thank you for making it!

The full chain affecting sprayability: - the tank has sufficient water level (not very far from being fully empty but still having some water) - the tank has no air inside the bottom valve/pump which gets "milked" for water (no air comes out when you press the valve, the air can somehow collect there if some other part in the hydraulic chain doesn't operate properly, like e.g. nozzle being clogged) - the tank is properly connected with the robot (the part in center of the filter which gets connected with the tank valve, you need to ensure tank is firmly and securely inserted/pressed into it) - the filter is clean - the hoses aren't clogged - the nozzle is clean
