For a right hand drive car, is the filter still accessed from what is now the driver’s side, or is it now situated on the glovebox side?

Hello i went to automatick transmission workshop.to chaing oil in automatik transmision on my volvo v40 d2 2016 and the dealer has fil it flash it one timr and when he lvl it up he told me to sit and chaing gears and in that time he was under the car and open and reslise the oil. He didnt do as it was on your video chaing gears 2 times then relise. Is it ok or i need to go to another dealer to refil. Best regards sry for bad english
@garageproductions359Ай бұрын
Hi. Hard to tell what he did. If he filled, you worked with gears and then when motor running he opened small screw to adjust the level, it could be ok, if it was experienced mechanic. Basically you moved old and new oil in gears. In my case I bought more oil and did it many times to get more old oil out. If it was done only once for you, you dont have so much new oil in there. With one flush there comes out couple of liters only, most of old oil stays inside the pipes, cooler and turbine. When working with gears, old and new oil mixes. If your gearbox was not on right temp, there just could be some extra oil in it. As oil expands when heats up, the level must be adjusted with warm gearbox. I think nothing bad, if there could be some more. If it was bleeded correctly, maybe the whole difference with hot and cold oil is couple of hundere grams/ml. And if you have some more, it is not so bad as to have some less I think.

@garageproductions359Ай бұрын
Dont know about if there is option to drain out too much. There is this drainage pipe there, that you can not drain too much. But if engine is shut off, maybe then too much can come out.

@garageproductions3596 ай бұрын
@@zaika_a_a Hello. In V40 the computer compares wheel rotations with ABS sensors. If tire pressure is same, then all wheels rotate the same. If tire pressure is off from some wheel, that wheel rotates differently and computer picks that up. No pressure sensors inside the tire, to show PSI on the screen. If there is error presented, but in real life it is OK, you can calibrate the computer=reset.

@terminallyinquisitive17318 ай бұрын
This is great. Note on the diesels- if you don"t do much or any motorway driving don't top it up fully: to clean the dpf it automatically takes a bit of diesel periodically to burn off the particulates - if not driving above around 50mph for 20 minutes continually the unused diesel is deposited into the oil tank - another reason to change your oil every 6k miles... I had to take out some oil as level was getting too high...warning light
