Driftwood is a favorite place for weddings. My niece got married there. Being from Georgia, have spent numerous family vacations there. Your out of season, but they have turtle walks on the beach during the spring and summer and have actually seen them dig holes and lay their eggs

Two weeks in Marathon, I'm surprised no one mentioned the ferry from Key West to Ft Jefferson (Dry Tortuga's) It's a trip worth taking if you had the time. Maybe on your next loop!

The problem with the motor is it was designed for fuel that is not made anymore. Use can gas or aviation fuel. Cheaper than buying a new 4 stroke.

Loved the comment on the Lincoln bridge. My 2 bridges were Halstead Ave and Calumet Ave.

Keys have been loved to death...I lived on grassy key in early 70s ...once they started building the new bridges I felt that was it. Just sailed to marathon recently and I found extremely overcrowded and just completely lost of any quaintness that it once had.

Those white bluffs we call that soap stone or pipe clay. We mine it in places if you take it an bake it an run it through shakers you can gypsum out of it an they also use it for women's makeup. I think you ladies call it base of course cosmetic people put color an oil an chemicals in it cause it's white as snow once you bake an shake it. Just thought I'd let you ladies know you putting dirt on your face to look pretty. Lol

That old building you seen on Kentucky lake by that rail road bridge was an old mill before the dams were put in Tennessee river the wood has petrified an that's why it's still standing. Across the river from that we had a cabin there for years it was a great fishing spot. Land between the lakes is one of Tennessee biggest tourist camping an exploring spots in Tennessee besides great smokies. An that state park has integrated eagles back into Tennessee years ago now they are everywhere even here on my farm you have to watch out for small dogs cats chickens an small farm animals. Hope you enjoy our great state tourism is a big part of our revenue an we are proud of it. God bless an come back soon.

We watch Boneheaded boaters too! If you guys want to get an amazing microphone we just got a Rode Wireless Go II kit and it's great. I am only mentioning this because it's sometimes hard to hear the Capt. They aren't that expensive and you'll be amazed how nice they are. That was SO close going under that bridge! Wow!

Holy CRAP that was a skinny passage! I'm guessing that was about 15 feet from bridge pilings to barge deck? I'll second Shelly's opinion, I['m glad YOU were driving and not me Scott!
