I think it's either a power trip, or some kind of adrenaline employees like that get when they see someone recording on or around their property, like damn. People take pictures of places all the time for google reviews, and we can't film a video of an elevator. The worst that can happen is that the employee or the company would try to sue for showing them on video, or just getting barred from the property. This happens to other popular influencers as well. It sucks nevertheless

Man did I have a devil of a time filming here. This is a busy medical office and every minute of every hour someone was stepping onto this thing. I managed to get a video without anyone on it but it was *not* easy. One time when I came here, I had to turn around and leave because it was already going on 20+ minutes and I didn't want to stay for very long out of fear of being approached by security guards.

This store is going to be closing later this winter along with three other Macy's stores across the state. I think the other ones are at Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, Oakland Mall in Troy, and Grand Traverse Mall in Traverse City. By this spring, the only anchor store left at Genesee Valley Center will be JCPenney. It likely won't be long and they will be gone too. This mall is a shell of its former self. I remember coming here all the time between 2005 and 2009 when I was an undergraduate in college, and at that time it was a decent place to shop. It was full to the max including the four major anchor stores, and the food court on the upper atrium level was packed. I don't see Genesee Valley Center lasting much longer. They may not even make it to 2030. It also does not help that it is located in such a lousy area that has become frequented by transients and homeless people and ravaged by drugs and opioids. In fact, I won't go to this area anymore unless my dad is with me.

I was there almost 15 years ago. Can't believe they are still Long elevators. Or are they still?
