Incredible that a 95 year old elevator is still running. Shows that old elevators were truly built to last. I'm not surprised the controller is having major issues: I'm sure that replacement parts are basically impossible to find, and if I had to guess, parts were scrapped when the Zelda was installed.

Hmm… I’m aiming towards this being installed in 2014 (despite thinking that the store opened in 2015). Right before Menards started having more Abell Elevator installs in the mid to late 2010s. Alongside MEI in the mega-Menards in Bloomfield Hills.

Okay… this is technically in Waukesha County. So this one might be in Greater Waukesha, if you hit several buildings with old elevators, including the vintage Eastern elevator at 262 West Broadway (and I’m not making that up, there actually is an Eastern elevator there).

It probably changed ownership and I'd guess the new owners wanted to be part of a nicer chain. The hotel just wrapped a very nice renovation.

Store is still open and will remain in place as the mall is demolished- they are turning it into an outdoor mall of sorts that will include both Macy's plus JCP
