It's not the right bike for your attitude. Get something for off road or learn how to avoid major road defects. 40 years from now if you are fortunate enough you can pass on what you learned and what you might have done different if you got the chance to do it all again.

Do not give them feedback you might think it’s just for her, but it goes to the whole company. That same company bent me over when I bought my 48 it had a gearbox leak, but they tried to tell me it was WD-40 after we had to do all the new gaskets at my cost..
@spokedtoosoon
@spokedtoosoon 3 ай бұрын
bloody hell trying to palm it off as WD-40, that's so bad! I was kinda thinking the same, because half the time a customer will just see how many 5 star reviews the company has and won't actually read them. Should I do a 1 star review you think? or just give them no feedback whatsoever? Thanks for commenting mate!

I understand your dilema with SBF. I bought a used Suzuki Intruder from their whorehouse in Macclesfield, Cheshire. They then added a £350 handling charge on top of the ticket price. Maybe because I paid cash. The bike has been fantastic. Superb condition. The lad who dealt with the sale was ok, but I wouldn't reward SBF with a 5 star review. I think they do it on purpose - giving customers a moral dilema, so overcoming crappy service provision. I doubt I buy from them again. But I suppose it depends on the bike at the time.
@spokedtoosoon
@spokedtoosoon 3 ай бұрын
glad your bike was in good nic, but a £350 handling charge?! Jesus. I had a £199 handling charge and thought that was bad! I think you're bang on there - they'll sell these bikes and when there's a problem they get someone nice to step in and then request a review because of commission. You feel looked after and want this person to be awarded but then the whole customer base will see another 5 star review in the pile and think they're actually a reliable company. Cheers mate, ride safe!

Just a quick question how do you find the handling over 80 mph ? I know that’s too fast .. motorway runs
@spokedtoosoon
@spokedtoosoon 3 ай бұрын
I'll have to come back to you on that one as the only time I had it up at 80 was before I had the fork tubes replaced. It was solid, but was too bouncy, now it's stiffened up the front end I think it'll be much better handling wise. The wind gets a bit much after a while but didn't affect handling, might be worth me getting a little Del Rey Sportshield or something. thanks!

Every Harley I have owned required constant tinkering. Some tinkering got pretty expensive, like chain tensioners and trans seals. My current bike is a Yamaha Stryker. Over 10k miles on it, bought used with 18k, and just routine maintenance. Paid $5000 for it. You pay a lot for being able to say you ride a Harley, in more ways than one. Personally, I would rather ride than wrench.
