Im amazed that they replaced the backrest considering that the part that broke off was available separately in their parts catalogue, btw your bike sounds so good, ride safely

it surprised me too. Perhaps they were being extra diligent as it was brand new? Thanks bud, ride safe too

Dude, I am so delighted to see that it has worked out for your Wide Glide!!! You sound thrilled and rightfully so. As for the riding winter gloves, I got a pair from Rev it for about 180€ (waterproof with Gore Tex and pretty good protection and insulation). Generally the look matches HD and cruiser riding and they are a good bang for your buck. Keep on riding and making these cool videos :DDD

Before buying from elsewhere I visited a branch of the SuperbikeFactory to look at a heritage softail classic that was described as great condition. What a dog, as were the rest of the Harleys on sale, in fact most of the bikes on sale were in a poor condition.

oh wow I had no idea, I know mine was damaged on the fork tubes but otherwise it looks like I might've gotten lucky given their history. I suppose that's what you get with a big online dealer, more about the £££ than about the customer or the bike. Thanks for info mate! ride safe

Have you tried ski gloves, wind proof, warm (have to be really) waterproof and not too dear, just a thought.

@@richardhenderson8876 ski gloves is a pretty good idea! I'll look into that, see what I can find. Thanks!

I always buy ski gloves once a year from Aldi, around 10 euros for a pair, they are waterproof, comfortable and keep your hands warm even on the coldest of mornings

But won’t protect your hands in a slide across the black stuff..!!

@rickspa8348 ahh I see good point, I guess ski gloves aren't gonna be designed for tarmac impacts

@@spokedtoosoon true, but the denim jeans most of us wear when riding won't either if you think of it that way..I don't 😎

Just a quick question how do you find the handling over 80 mph ? I know that’s too fast .. motorway runs
@spokedtoosoon3 ай бұрын
I'll have to come back to you on that one as the only time I had it up at 80 was before I had the fork tubes replaced. It was solid, but was too bouncy, now it's stiffened up the front end I think it'll be much better handling wise. The wind gets a bit much after a while but didn't affect handling, might be worth me getting a little Del Rey Sportshield or something. thanks!

Maybe just the camera angle , looks to me that the handlebar isn't as straight as could be . Right side seems to be further in . Probably just me , bike sounds awesome, ride safe .
@spokedtoosoon3 ай бұрын
ahh yes thanks for pointing that out! I had some people on the last video mention that too. I'm gonna take the camera down to the garage with the wide angle turned off, I hope it's just the lens. The camera is off angle on my helmet too, so fingers crossed it's just distorted video. Thanks bud! Ride safe

@@spokedtoosoon I wouldn't worry about it . Even if they were off a bit , it wouldn't change the way it rides. I rode a couple years with bars that were off a bit from being wrench a bit too much while in transport and no big deal .

Many of us Harley owners who live in Kent deal with Sykes... They are so much better than our local dealership...!
