How to add screws?

I can see if you add screws from the fasteners wB it will not update automatic you have to press F5 for update. It is not fully developed

If you select the file name and go to the fastener WB select the fastener you want the out attaching it to a hole. Then go to the assembly WB an import with faster as you will import other components now you create a fixed joint to join the fastener to the part

regarding bricks I later only see one color on the wall but a mouse over highlights the individual bricks. how can I make them more visible?

Perfect find - my next study for next week. I teach in interior design and really cannot stand SketchUp and for architecture modeling Revit or AutoCAD is very expensive. This might be a nice addition and then use Blender to add furniture materials etc and render

The problem I had is that with the 2.1.2 version you don't seem to be able to attach the truss to the side of the rectangle because it appears to float at an angle between the XY and XZ planes. When I downgraded the rectangle to edges the truss attaches but the insulation comes out of the wall cavity, lol. I think you have to construct the rectangle out of 4 individual lines to make the CAD work correctly.

Hi Danielsen, Sorry for the name mistake. At present I use Ondsel FreeCAD, but I try to use FreeCAD V1.0rc and could not use the Tech Draw to print the exploded assembly.

Hi dan ielsen, This is a great method of making a nice curved 3d model. I am a 75 year old duy and still learning 3D CAD. Thanks a lot and if possible make a - how print a 3d assembly using Tech Draw. May be an exploded item.

Great video - at 4:10 you say, "Cut Through" when changing the view to make the handle and see an intersection of the existing piece. Is that a function? I couldn't see where that was in navigation or tool bars. Any help is appreciated.

Ah for some reason my view was clipped, it was the "View Section" button.

If your having trouble installing MnesarcoUtils on windows or getting an error, best to Install FC0.19.4 then use the addon manager it will showup in FC0.22Dev, Thx for the Video 'Mad Labs' )

Assambel 4 has a good work flow normally you only make assembly in 2d.

If you want to map your garden in freecat. You have to do it this way you cannot do it in the techdraw wb. In solidworks you can just do it in the 2D drawing wb.

When I followed the procedure to design the path of the 3 d poly-line, the orientation deviated from the edges of the solid in such a way I had to readjust the Euler angles & position of the 3 d poly-line.

No just select in the left side the things you want to be in the step file hold down the ctrl key while you're doing it. Then select export to stl in file menu. Best regards mads😜🇩🇰

@@madslethdanielsen2099 Thank you. As I have no printer, I must send my jobs to a vendor via email as a single file exported from FreeCAD. I now believe exporting via 3MF is the way to do this. I need to print white embossed letters inside a black material via a single importable file for my vendor. This is my difficult goal.
