@10:12 I said this on x but people just cannot seem to separate themselves from the people/works of fiction they watch or play or read about. they are so intertwined to them that if you say something bad about the character or say they will lose a fight [even if you joke about it.] they act like you spit on them and said the worst thing imaginable. they will completely ignore the fact you are doing this just to make them mad or as a joke and will start to target you like the character is a real person. they care less about what you say and more about the characters themselves. people treat them as if they are 100% real and that you just made them angry and i do not understand it. its why im poking the bear on x, so i CAN understand it. have to know why people think that you as a REAL flesh and blood person have less value then a work of fiction. even now someone from x is probably reading this and thinking im lying, when im not.

That "I was wondering when you'd run out of hair styles" is very Clark. 2nd fight was incredible too, Superman was always the obvious winner and db fanboys needed to learn that. He can literally beat goku without even throwing a punch, it was never a fair fight. 3rd battle was more than enough to cement that fact, with them even using non canon feats for goku to make him seem stronger, only for it to not matter in the end. Superman has been around for over 85 years, he and DC have already done everything db has done and surpassed it long ago. This fight was always going to end one way.

That was the best video I ever watched talking about Death Battle and overall about versus debates in nerd/pop culture as pople live things and create things and express their passions in different ways. The last Goku vs Superman was fantastic for me not only because of all the animation, but the ending when they state clearly "it's for fun" was the period in the sentence not every one got it. Thanks for creating and sharing this video talking about it!

i love your video of how passionate you are towards death battle in a way i have not looked at first i can admit you see 100% right majority of people skip the analysis to just move on to the fight leading up to it that helps getting to know about the characters that’s fighting of the similarities their strength and etc i might give death battle another shot but overall excellent video once again 🙃🙃

I love your summation around 43 minutes in. Because yeah, Death Battle is a glorified fanfic and it's wonderful to think of it and other fanfics as expressions of love for the series they cover, and like any fanfic writer they've honed their craft over the years. Also totally! Justice for Peach vs Zelda! Needs a remake more than anything. Imagine a build to climax where motorcycle Peach zooms down the back of the Light Dragon as they careen through the stratosphere!

I do enjoy Death Battle and I watch it every now again and I've been a enjoyer of DBZ, but Dove opened my eyes of how amazingly detailed and caring they are in each episode as time went on. This one didn't feel like a fight, it was just old friends doing what they love. Thank you Dove, for showing me the love of Death Battle I now understand

If I never met Dove, Superman would not at all have the impact or pull on my life that he does. *I* was one of those angry Goku fans in High School. I was so livid over the results of those first two DB episodes between them and I was of the mindset he was boring and pointless and would be about as interesting as reading a water bottle's nutrition facts. If it was not for Dove reframing the way I viewed Superman I might have never come to appreciate the difference between these characters, I might have never realized how amazing Goku v Superman 3 was. I wouldn't have appreciated everyone's favorite boy scout to the level that I do now. Amazing video, My friend. Keep up the hard work and keep being a great person. On a side note, The Trunks on Supe's outfit can be done away with and it wouldn't change my opinion on his design. If anything it would probably make it better most of the time, buuut she has a point about the models in GvS2 just looking *off* and it wasn't something I ever realized until it was pointed out.

These are my thoughts about the matchups that you presented and if you want to discuss I'm here. And not really hate more of criticism. Dude versus conker is incredibly entertaining,I never even thought to have dude on here because postal is weird and lot of people don't really like dark humor but I could see him on there but against conker I don't know but I don't feel like the poster dude wins. The battle of the incells is everything that I dream about it's just a shame that syndrome kind of dies because if Titan really does scale to Markiplier ( I forgot his name) then he does scale to I believe a country level feat from the button of Doom because unless we're going to give him the omnidroid I don't see syndrome even Hurting Titan. Riku versus Tommy Oliver is cool I do believe Tommy has better matchups but I rock with this but riku does not stop if you take a closer look at the feats Tommy performs and the other rangers that he scales to and above. I'm sorry what Dante versus Bayonetta is still one of the most amazing fights on death battle it was not fine it was spectacular from the jokes ,the analysis, the fight and the conclusion. Yeah with DMC 5 and Bayonetta 3 they have a lot more abilities versatility weapons and stats but I don't think that really changes the outcome and even if they do have new stuff that doesn't really detract from the episode and while I still hate nino or "dante" but him versus chai isn't bad not my favorite for chai but this would be a very fun matchup. I respect people's opinions but Alucard versus Dio sucked is one of the craziest takes I've ever heard I had no idea that Trish versus rankigu was even a thing and honestly I don't even think you can play as Trish and unless she scales to Dante in some way she's not really going to beat someone from bleach.also, seras Victoria, my queen one day you will have your moment and show the battle community that you rock to. I honestly believe that death battle will do a better job at Sonic now if they don't ignore the info like they always did and stop placing him at planetary when he's above that; however you have nothing to worry about, a lot of people like Sly Cooper versus rogue myself included and I know a lot of people want him to fight lupin the third but he can fight kaito. It's just unfortunate about how badly Sly Cooper loses because scaling to base Sonic or shadow in any way would put her legs above Sly who in my opinion is like town to city and then we have to go over the fact that she can keep up with shadow but all in all good matchup. Cobra Kai versus Red skull with be a meme worthy and legendary fight I just don't know what they would use for Red skull is I don't really see him that much in the comics anymore because I know that he has a flawed version of the super soldier serum however I also don't know much about GI Joe besides the movie that I continuously watched when I was little. Robin Hood versus King Arthur is a matchup but we're putting him against a normal guy that doesn't really have that many feats to even put him against King Arthur no matter how miscellaneous his legacy is. Travis versus Jack is my preferred even though I didn't play the games but I agree with you I don't really know why people want Scott versus Travis. Zuko versus Elsa is a matchup I never thought I would hear in my life and why do I think it would be better than the todoroki versus zuko already. I need to study zuko's feat because I don't want her to win because there's no way that she's more powerful, also I do find the appeal of having a pacifist on the show and they have done a great job at that when they did Doctor who versus Rick and aang versus Ed before the death, it would make for very interesting combat and remorse for that character. Recommendations: Hellboy versus Nero is definitely going to happen they don't really have much of a choice in the matter because of how popular it is Alucard; also there's absolutely no way they would put them against Alucard who doesn't really have that much in the connections and yang who has semi connections but die horribly and story doesn't really connect. The idea of cell versus shion is interesting we do need more general matchups of good versus evil which we don't get a lot but does she win? I don't believe that she scales next to Riku, sora or Roxas and I'm pretty sure cell is faster but I as someone who's in the dragon Ball fandom there's going to be a lot of discussion about that episode if that ever comes to be. Snake eyes versus last Ronin would be incredibly great because I love snake eyes and to see them actually give respect to Mikey after the absolute horrible episode that was the TMNT Battle Royale it would certainly make it amazing however I would take the last rodin against anyone. Joker versus ness is ok I like ness but I'm not really involved in their storys so I have no strong opinions but I could also see him against raz from psychonauts. You know what I never actually thought to even have woz on death battle like angry video game nerd and The nostalgia critic however I don't like gwenpool😂 . Finally an Alex matchup that I could probably get into and it would be really funny to see them tackle wizards of Waverly place in a serious way and the fact that they could just destroy the planet (I think it's been awhile and I don't know every spell) however I don't really know much about Sabrina so the enjoyment doesn't really factor in for me as much. I know Sanji but I don't know the other guy and I like Kyire but I have no idea who the other girl is but there's no way people are asking her to fight ochako. Blue beetle versus ryuko matoi is good solid but I do prefer both of them to fight other people..... who they can also fight because having an alien or a piece of armor that transforms you is pretty common for some reason; also massive stat stomp which doesn't really matter because Ryuko kind of dies to everyone but I kind of already have a matchup for ryuko. Don't know or care about home stock but I'm sure that there are other matchups for sora that's not LeBron James or the guy from fortnite. Bigsby versus wolverine is a cool matchup I just don't think that he should fight wolverine from marvel comics because while I never finished reacting to Wolf among Us or even knew about the comics but I am very certain that he doesn't lay a scratch on wolverine . Hold on, you know about obsidian blaze ( this reminds me I need to go back and read it because he probably made multiple updates) and you just said it so casually like there is a difference between a niche fandom an obsidian blaze considering that it just started out also can you even scale pryite to anything and what do you mean voices it's a web comic!?! Fred Newman vs Edward Eddie Stubblefield is something that I have never heard of and I don't even know these characters soooo
