Hola, muchas gracias por el vídeo. Me llega esta semana el Accsoon cineview master 4k. Podrías decirme dónde está el lago o como se llama para medir la distancia?

I didn't even realize the whole time I was around that the transmitter wasn't actually physically connected to the v-mount - it was just in a caddy. Love that setup!

FML!! You have no idea how much I hate Tesla and that thing looks like a mini Cyber Truck! SMH! Of course, this isn't geared towards you, I was basically talking about loud and typing it. Hahaha! As a fellow KZbinr, I've been watching channels like yours so I can create better videos to my group of subscribers. Thanks for making these videos and happy Monday!!

Great video 🫶 I've been looking into this and wanted to purchase it for some time. This video really helps :) One question: how about older teradek units? I've been seeing like bolt 500 lt's close in price as this.
@TylerEdwards3 күн бұрын
Bolt 500 is great for that price. Accsoon is definitely more feature rich with being able to monitor with iPhone/ipad and transmit 4K, but if you don’t care about that, the bolt 500 is good.

Great video as always man. Question for you. I have a Pyxis with BM Video Assist monitor 7' model and also an Accsoon Cineview Transmitter. What I have to do since the Pyxis only has one SDI port for an on-camera monitor, in order to make use of my Accsoon I connect it with an HDMI cord from the transmitter to the HDMI port on my BM Video Assist. That way a director and/or client can at least have a signal to view but the downside is I don't wish to disable my focus peaking while shooting so they have to get a signal that includes focus peaking. Towards the end of your video when you were saying you wish the transmitter had more in/out options, is my particular issue an example of why that limit you talked about is a problem? I'm trying to figure out if there's still some way to get a clean feed to them with no peaking but don't think it's possible. Hopefully I'm making sense. Would love your thoughts. Thanks brotha.
@TylerEdwards3 күн бұрын
Yup that is essentially how I have it setup on my Pyxis right now. Once the Pyxis monitor ships, I’ll just dedicate the SDI out to wireless or Evf. It would be cool to have an SDI loop or or even SDI/hdmi cross covert to let hdmi out work with the SDI in on the tx.
@12yfilms2 күн бұрын
@@TylerEdwards @AdamSzarmack The Freakshow SDI splitter is what I'm using for my Pyxis' SmallHD and Teradek units. Both signals are clean. Great results. You just need to power the splitter with a 2-point lemo from a d-tap. I bought for $350 I think. Only downside is that you can't control what information each SDI port is going to get. I would disable Peaking on the Pyxis (SDI output menu) and turn on the Peaking feature on the external monitor and/or the Pyxis side monitor. Like this, the Teradek, or whatever wireless tx you use can send out a clean signal. Just my 2¢

Thanks for the tips. I've just found out that red exposure works the opposite compared to other cameras. Been watching different videos of how to expose. This video showed me a demonstration of using high iso in bright situations. People just mentioned it in other videos, but they didn't demonstrate. That footage at the beach looked very nice. Where can I watch it?

Wow…just starting editing a 20 TB doc and overwhelmed trying to do it on a WD USB drive…this is exactly what I want to do on my first pass and move the trimmed files to a more responsive drive that’s probably going to be about 2 TB. I can’t tell you how helpful this made my life. Thank you!

Focus breathing is awful when you shoot from above. Is it R5 issue, the lens or your setup?
@MitchelWuToyPhotography7 күн бұрын
I've been an L lens user paired with an R6 for years. As yiu know, great lenses, but big and heavy. Now that I'm taking my show on the road more often I've built a smaller, lighter, travel-firendly kit with an R8 and a variety of RF STM lenses. I just picked the 16mm up yesterday for some crazy forced perspective shots I have in mind. I may try using it for traditional travel stuff as well, although I bought the pancake 28mm for that purpose. Thanks for the video!

Keeping things simple is sometimes so challenging for cinematographers. We get caught trying to use every tool at our disposal sometimes, and more often than not, less is more! Strong work sir. ;-)

Looks great Tyler. I think over complicating interview set ups is such a common mistake everyone makes. Often with these sort of shoots the vast majority of the a roll gets covered up anyway. Better to spend extra time making the b-roll look better.

I think it's a massive oversight, that they are making 2 versions of the EVF, instead of including both HDMI and SDI on the EVF. Both the Z-Cam EVF and the Zacuto Kameleon EVF Pro do better there. Looping a signal through is pointless, because the EVF only takes 1080p, unless you want to send the image on to a video transmitter, but then the Z-Cam EVF has that actually build in.
@theowlfromduolingo798218 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, just 1080p (which is fine for an evf, but if you want to loop through a 4k signal is definitely a downside. What if you are recording on an external recorder. What if you want to send out a 4k signal via video transmitter?) And it's too expensive imo. Still a great product and I'm glad it exists.

Very well thought out, Tyler. Thank you for posting. Question. I have a RED KOMODO (Gen 1) which offers just one mini audio input on the left side of the camera. There are on-camera XLR to mini mounts available. Mid 49 sells one, in fact. Do you know if the RED pre amps on the RED KOMODO (Gen 1) are good enough for just the XLR to mini option, or should I purchase a pre amp from someone like Beachtek or Tascam and run it through that first? Would be using 2 pro XLR mics and the RED KOMODO (Gen 1). As you know, RED added a better, 5-pin audio input to the back of the X.

The Blackmagic EVF option is good and convenient enough. Even with Tilta's extension cable, it still costs less than half as this.

Fair enough and use what works best for you. Only issue with that is it can’t be used on different camera platforms

I have a terrible time framing any scene unless I'm using an EVF. Especially, when I'm filming outside. I'm happy with Blackmagic's EVF option for my EVF, but it's great to see Kinefinity willingness to keep their accessories in an open ecosystem so that other camera brand owners can benefit. I currently use both EVF and SmallHD monitor on all my cameras for one reason--> EL Zone. I don't know of any manufacture that offers El Zone within their EVF offering. I film using the Blackmagic EVF but look up to my SmallHD monitor to maintain proper exposure with El Zone turned on at all times. Is there an EVF that has EL Zone built in? That would be a "game changer." I wonder how expensive it would be for Kenefinity or other manufactures to license EL Zone they way SmallHD and Atomos has? Thank you for sharing Tyler! I have your notifications turned on but didn't see this video pop up until just now=/
@TylerEdwards20 күн бұрын
Ya EL zone is awesome! I wish it was on all monitors. Crazy is that it isn’t even on the dsmc3 red monitor even though smallhd makes the monitor
