In the second match, he play "be king undisputed" on Prince Jhon, but it's impossible because he has ward.

Ward only prevents the opponent to target the character. Its own player can target it which makes Be King Undisputed usable.

Emerald Steel Diablo Discard reminds me of old school Jund decks in Modern from Magic. Playing powerful removal and discard effects, then dropping a character that gains you value and card draw over multiple turns. I love it.

Always asking “cards in hand?” Pay more attention to the game and you won’t have to ask.. it’s so annoying when someone keeps asking “cards in hand?” When they should pay attention to the game actions and notice that I drew 1 for turn and inked a card ect.. stop being lazy..

I 100% agree on top 8 getting the card. I was undefeated after 6 rounds of Swiss at the Into the Inklands Set champs only to lose to someone I beat in Swiss in top 8. While it will impact the value playing for 6 hours and doing really well to get nothing was harsh. IMO the only people complaining are those that only went with the goal of flipping the card ASAP.

I like the look of Yokai, you could drop a medal of heroes on 4, banish it, give yokai +2 lore, quest for 4, pick it back up and play it down again for free.

I'm under the impression that you misunderstood merlin's cottage here, BOTH players play with the top card of their deck revealed, wich means that after a wheel you can know your opponent's hand (each card is revealed before it's drawn). The opponent knows yours too but for a deck with such good top end it's not that bad of a deal. (im talking about the sapphire steel deck close to the end of the video, great vid btw).

G/s became T1 because people stopped playing for it and started playing for R/S. Steel song eats G/S specially if you are playing Grab your swords which most people dropped cause again R/S. and TBH I would much rather diablo than prince John, there are so many turn 2/3 removal answers to diablo, prince john will just sit therre until he gets turned sideways or you can do a big AEO action which doesn't really come till turn 5/7.

You are right about prince john but I say Diablo because he enables all these meta green decks and is a must have pretty much every green deck and makes new power cards like Clarabelle irrelevant as of now. G/s is bullshit because it has the Diablo, prince john, muses, and double sing ursula. Regardless of the win or not it’s not fun to play against for anyone. Therefore it’s degen as hell

I am not sure how easily it's fixed, but for a newer player like me, I don't get a ton from these deck reviews since I can't read a single card due to the resolution of the image you are showing. I know in some websites you can mouse over a card and it gets bigger, which would help if you could go through the list showing readable versions of the cards. Usually I can't even see the name, which means I have to keep rewinding the video to hear what you said in a rapid-fire reading, then search the card up elsewhere. Food for thought.

Mr Smee will see play in pirates as they currently have 0 archetype evasion options aside from the RLS Legacy. People are running happy, the one drop dwarf, just for the evasive answer. Currently, dealing with cards like Diablo requires expending an action card like fire the cannons or baboom. Every other descriptor archetype has evasive options so it'll be a solid addition.

Think the green Hook looks good into quick amber steel matchups. Blocking Smee and Piglet questing is quite impactful. Unfortunately a niche case but if pirates are more widespread he gets better

I don't think it stacks for Nick. Regardless of how many it is as long as it is 1 other support in play it's +2 strenght.

Exactly, that was a strange misreading. But still, with a turn 2 with support this means you can challenge for 3 in turn 2; which not many cost-1 cards can do. Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist can. Felicia, Always Hungry also, but she is reckless.

@@SpeciLorcanawell if he is on the board with another character with support, i understood it as the character with support giving their strength to Nick along with his own buff and his base stat still able to make him a 5/2. when the "other" character with support first hits the board Nick becomes 3/2, then following turn when "other" character quests and gives their strength to Nick (assuming "other" character has a stat line of 2/x i.e. Basil) he will become a and stay a 5/2 (possibly even scale higher with other characters with support that have higher base stat, i.e. sapphire Wendy Darling) as long as we keep playing characters with support.

and by "keep playing other characters with support" i mean to replace the initial characters that quest and buff Nick, which will probably be challenged or banished by a Let the Storm Rage On. The goal is to keep Nick at a 5/2 or 6/2 stat line for whenever those Mauis come down lol

Really in love with amethyst emerald, but struggles a lot vs emerald steel. I ll test the version with Ursula/Bibidi and Sudden Chill. Sounds pretty strong against red/blue with bibidi that allows u to gain a lot of lore with Goat + Ursula if u can sing with it… Am i wrong ? And vs steel emerald u Have the chance to discard him and sing friends to take back a hand to play the Game. CAN some one help me to try to win vs steel emerald ?

Olaf in green purple is only there for steelsong. Ursula is our best turn 2 play, but if we dont find ursula then we have literally no other turn 2 on the draw that doesnt instantly die. Olaf survives the storm rage on and allows for a snake on 2, who then threatens to take out the cinderella, or even trade with the big Queen.

yeah it's an annoying card to have to play, but if they get cindy out turn 1, and you only have a snake as your 2 drop, you're locked out of the first 2 turns

Match 1 is why I don’t like Sealed. Friends don’t let friends play sealed! Draft instead! In draft you can still open bombs but if I open a busted pack I only get 1 card out of it before the wheel. I get a slight advantage with first pick but nothing crazy. In sealed if I open all the busted packs and you open all the trash, it’s a landslide. I don’t want to lose because I picked the wrong booster packs.

I think people will play the cost 4 Magica De Spell (Cruel Sorceress) During opponents' turns, if an effect would cause you to discard one or more cards from your hand, you don't discard.

I've tried it. problem is, unless you're playing discard specifically, it's just so so bad. You wanna be using that 4 ink for a goat, elephant, castle, literally anything else. If it prevented discarding altogether, it would be worth 2 copies. But it's only during your opponent's turn. You still discard when challenging merfolk, flynn etc.

@@TrueSamuraiHero For sure. If there was a better shift target in the future, she could also become more viable. As it stands now, though, her shifts are high cost uninkables with so-so abilities, so they are tough to justify running. Maybe if we get more high cost items that are inkable, her item lore ability shift target would be worth considering. But right now, I'd rather just run 7 cost inkable Ursula who quests for 3 always and also counters amber/steel as well as hurting discard decks as well.

as someone whose primarily an emerald/amethyst player, I've been thinking about playing Olaf for a while. Amber Steel Songs (or emerald steel for that matter) can be a tough match up if you dont survive the early part of the game, so a 1/3 to survive a turn 2 Storm/ Strength can be helpful. I can see running a 1/3 character just for those.
