It may have seemed as a nod to current events but I interpreted the ending as a female Catholic who has felt as a second class person in the patriarchy of the church. But all views are individual and valid.

The set decoration and costumes was authentic IMO. I've never been to the Vatican, but it did seem like it took you to it.

@@thewebdiva5903 The purpose of the movie is to give a convincing rendtionn of the inner workings of what may go on in a conclave, in other words how a candidate is chosen from the ranks of the cardinals . The conclave movie. tried for authenticity . But then the story took a detour in the end from being somewhat plausible to trying to satisfy the libral agenda with a. ridiculous premise. Candidates for the papal office do not just appear out of the blue, but become viable after years of scrutiny...Like any job applicant a proper candidate must demonstrate their ability to uphold the tachings of the church and how they will govern/serve her...

The Sixth Sense is really that great, it's one of those classics that really holds up. I think Signs is probably the most accessible of his films and I agree with what you said about how compelling the characterization is. And I loved Split, it's one of the best showcases of an actor's broad range across a single film.

I would, but I'm honestly not really a tv guy at all. Every show I start I just don't end up sticking with. I'll keep in the back of my mind though just in case!

I've seen Glass and The Last Airbender, I feel Glass has a good setup but a very weak execution. I relate to what you said about TLA. But I'm really looking forward to your part 2! Just this year I watched The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and Split for the first time

Such a great year of movies! Although I do not think some of the movies in the back quarter of the top 10 are successful in some of their execution, they all have such impressive moments in varying aspects of filmmaking.

Hi, Great that your top 10 list includes 'Evil Dead Rise'. It's one of my favorites from 2023. Have you watched 'When Evil Lurks'? I think it rivals the scare factor of 'Talk To Me'. This was my first time watching your show. Really enjoyed it. Thanks

I kinda liked the dynamic of the family but as a horror this was very poor. I did not find it scary. The attempts to make the pool scary failed miserably and the dialogue became so dreadful it was literally laughable. A couple cool set ups and shots but overall this one didn’t work for me. Great review, my friend 👍
