Hermione's family would have been Whitelisted as they're her parents, Harry did that magic with Marge who wouldn't have been. I would prefer the Trace be applied to a wand instead of a person, cause like, when would they put it on the child? At birth?

I could defend the Pettogrew thing far better than Rowling, as she seems to have forgotten her own lore. No one new Pettigrew had betrayed them for Voldemort, only Sirius did, and then everyone thought Sirius betrayed them and killed Pettigrew because he found out. Harry showing Remus the supposedly dead Pettogrew is what made Remus start trying to work with Sirius. Still doesn't cover how the twins never noticed over the course of 2.5 years that there was a strange name in their brothers room

I think that as far as Dumbledore's chocolate frogs go, it's a good theory. I always wondered how in the first and second movies he always knew so much about everything. Random events, guesses, hunches, he just knew so much. How did he come across all this information? Was it just because he was old and wise? Or something else...?

My plothole/gripe is the fact the modern world is literally never talked about. The amount of ways that Voldemort has never seen in which you could kill him would be insane. Wizards can teleport anywhere - Police station - Police rifle - stand very far away - blow his brains out. I mean hell., basically every farmer has a gun, they aren't hard to find even in the UK Buy a like 100,000 lumen torch and shine it at his face and blind him make some thick fancy armor since spells seemingly can't go through "walls" and be a juggernaut Even a magic answer, get a young Basilisk and Medusa him to death Like just a simple "He has a shield that can block kinetic energy and only magic can get through" or some lame bs to actually explain away why none of the characters even bother "planning" anything properly and actually have a reason why a gun isn't useful

Many of these aren't plot holes. Characters doing stupid things (like Lupin going outside on the night of a full moon without some safeguard, or Moody not thinking to make use of Harry's invisibility cloak or giving Harry polyjuice potion in book 7) may be bad writing, but they aren't plot holes. They may also be good writing if the character is canonically stupid (which Lupin and Moody are not). Likewise, something that is poorly explained isn't a plot hole. A plot hole has to be an actual narrative contradiction, such as the example given about the day of the week on which Harry arrives at the Dursley's.

What's your obsession with the basilisk leaving "slime" everywhere? It's not a slug or a ray-finned fish; it's a snake. Snakes do not have slime. Snakes have dry scales with no coating of slime.

Sirius wouldve recognised crookshanks. Dumb No way Filch would've said "my cat" when he eas thinking that MsNorries were dead. Dumb Snape was saving other "Harry" with Sektumsempra when Hedwig were killed. His location is consistently same between the book and the movie. Dumb Dont even watch it further. I would've finished if it were just a description of what people made up, but these excuses for theories become worse and worse

But Peter Pettigrew is never mentioned to be roaming on the Marauder’s Map in the books. A better explanation would be that he has a concealment charm on himself, because he helped design the map.

J.K. Rowling surely had creative, fun ideas and that's the reason for the success of this whole universe. And it is the reason it worked for me as a kid. But now, in my mid 20s, I wished this was done by a more skilled writer. Many plot holes could have been avoided by simple solutions, some ideas should've simply been kept an idea, not making it into the books, because they just introduces a lot of problems. I would be open for the upcoming series to clear up some of the plot holes, even if it changes things. But I am worried that J.K. Rowling is way to stubborn and full of herself to allow someone else (like a proper screen writer) to touch her story.

It's possible that Dumbledore wantet Harry to make it past the puzzles in the end of The Philosopher Stone, so he could face Voldemort, knowing Dumbledore's intentions through the overarching story. Regarding The cloak, Dumbledore's staff is the Elder Wand, so he could break the spell of the invisibility cloak, being the master of one of the Deadly Hallows.

My favorite version of seeing yourself in time travel is in "I'm off to be the wizard" where Martin plays a game of poker with himself in the same evening, while both feeling sorry for his past self, getting drunk, and using hindsight to predict everthing that happened the first time.

One thing I find intresting about the illuminate is they don’t fight conventionally on a strategic level. They are fighting a guerilla war. They go from planet to planet, turn the citizens into voteless, leave and repeat. Even when we “win” they still gain more than they lose. A planet in ruins, most of it’s population turned to voteless and taken by the illuminate to anither world, an minimal squi’th losses. They bide their time, waiting to hit a critical mass of voteless, and eventually they will assault Super Earth with billions, or trillions of voteless. So many not even our strategems will be able to keep up.

What if deaþ bread or straight up created thestrals, perhaps to help him ferry souls to the afterlife. We see them used multiple times for transportation, either pulling a carrage or riding them. And it would give an explanation as to why only people who have seen deaþ can see them. And if who would be more likely to know you can craft a wand from thestral hair than the being who made thestral. And i believe the peverals actually met deaþ. Heck there's a river in England notorious for being deadly to enter

13:00 Another thing that bothers me is how do the Death Eaters know or not know where Harry is? Why are they waiting for him to try and leave before doing anything? His address isnt a secret. At least I would assume its not. However, if his address IS a secret and the Death Eaters dont know where he is, then wouldnt the best course of action be to get Harry out without using any magic for as long as possible? Maybe Im just dumb, but it doesnt make sense either way. If the Death Eaters know where Harry lives, why are they waiting until his friends try to move him before striking? If the Death Eaters dont know where Harry lives, why would his friends use ANY magic to get him out? Also, how does Snape come about the info that Harry is leaving? Wouldnt it have been smarter, just in case, to come up with a plan to move Harry on a fake date?
