Lavellan's romance for Solas is a SIMP

Funny, content that lasts just under an hour has been living rent free in my head for a decade! Then lets add the measly 20 mins that followed as well! So, um, what are everyone's thoughts about that ending there? I was a little sad Lavellan's forgiveness wasn't enough for Solas to stop, thankfully it seems to work out in the end. :) I really wanted the inquisitor at the Lighthouse, for her to see the music room and murals. Honestly, I'm just happy to have a conclusion to this love story.

I will edit this comment when I finish your video and collect my thoughts, but I have to comment: took me ten years to learn that her legs buckle when they kiss, like he’s truly making her come undone. How breathtaking. EDIT: I lean more towards “yes they did it” but am content that it wouldn’t be shown on-screen. I always thought their romance path got its strength in how private it is (private, not secret). In the kiss scenes, there is no one but the player witnesses their love unfolding. There is an interview with Trick Weekes (I need to find the full one) where they reveal that in original drafts of the romance, there WAS an idea they were entertaining where it would show Solas and Lavellan have a scene of passion, but they scrapped it because it was too similar to the Blackwall one. In another world, we might’ve had to see Solas do a walk of shame.

It's interesting hearing your POV, and makes me wonder if non Solasmancers got equal attention in DAV? I know Solas is more of a key compenent of this game, but why bother asking us who we romanced if we don't get a decent update? I'm not too hung up on it, though, I wasn't exactly blown away when I got to see Alistair again in DAI, who I romanced in DAO. My warden ended up his queen, so it was odd they were so vague about where she was considering a queen being MIA is kind of a big deal. I still loved DAI as much as DAO, so I think the concern over more choices being carried forward in this game is a little much. It's a valid concern, but it's not like Bioware has been perfect when bringing back characters. Like Leliana's personality changed so much, even if there good reasons why, etc.

My headcannon for Lavellan and Solas reunion is that there will come a time when Solas' nearly finds his end, and Lavellan saves him before he dies. She was his hero once before, let her be his hero once again.
