Vintage builds like these are fun and relaxing! The Crosley is cool and his making up of the body was very clever.

I love these old style Drag cars. Jack Brady built great these great models. I'm currently planning on building a 4cyl Ford Dragster. The biggest problem is finding the size width of Slicks back in the mid 50's - mid '60's.

You sir, are absolutely insane! I just found your channel and love the details in your builds, you've gotta have the patience of Job. I used to build models as a kid but then I made the mistake of growing up and moving on. In my 50's now and looking forward to getting back into the hobby. You are an inspiration to this returning model builder.

Great video Doug. Very much enjoyed watching it. You know you and me need to do a video to show people how to properly use model car garage detail sets. I think that would make a great video for you my friend and if you’re interested, I’d love to do one with you.

it should go without saying, but i'll say it anyway: the mass of each weight should be greater on its side of the pivot point than the mass of the hinge on the opposite side of the pivot point, and the combined mass of the weights should be less than the combined mass of the hinges and hood, respective to the pivot point. so if z=mass of the hinges, y=mass of counterweights, and x=mass of hood, then (y>z)x2, and (x+2z)>2y.

So many so-called experts who think they know what the hell they’re talking about. Posting videos like this just shows the world how stupid you are.

Thanks for the introduction to Clay. I was mightily impressed with everything he showed, and my back and one of my models appears multiple times in this video. So sorry for the dismal background.
