This model is one of the most beautiful I've seen, it must be enjoyed in person. Knowing everything that went into is makes the viewer appreciate it even more. Bob's pretty fun to hang out with too, that's for another video though...🤫

Thanks Doug, This is just impressive beyond words... Bob proves that you don't have to go to all the trouble to use brass to replicate auto body sheet metal, so the viewer's eye is convinced that they are seeing metal construction! Bob's ideas and execution are awesome on both Pontiacs!

The ability and effort taken to nickel plate components is one of the ( many ) things that elevates this build. I hope the industry responds someday to adult requests for better chrome trees, or a spray like Revell's that doesn't cost $30 +. I like the comment regarding how the uninitiated marvel at a build like this but can't put their finger on what it is that makes it so marvelous - subtle details !

Incredible!! I can only imagine the amount of hours put into this! Not just a work of art, but as act of love and passion with a sprinkle of madness lol. Heck, i wouldn't be surprised if the doors actually latch.

Some further comments. I was surprised and pleased to see this build selected for a feature from among the many top shelf builds at GSL. I'm primarily a replica stock builder and I have been watching Bob's GP build for some time. I too have tackled some challenging subject material so I really appreciate Bob's stunning build. I'll have to try panel opening with thread, wondering about the details of this technique.

That looks as good as or better than the diecast 1:24 models we were able to buy from Franklin Mint and Danbury Mint up to around 15 years ago. This Pontiac does not look at all like a plastic model. Excellent work!! (I don't completely understand the thread cutting method mentioned, but I wish I had the patience and eyesight to do something like that to make doors and trunk operable.)

12:13 describes me perfectly. i'm just getting back into the hobby after being away from it for 25 years (builder as a teenager but then life got in the way.) i don't know enough to understand what i'm seeing, all i know is it doesn't look like a model. it looks like a shrunken real car. i know enough to understand there's a difference. this looks amazing.

As spectacular as this '64 Grand Prix is, I can't wait to see Bob's next build. Even more party tricks! Plus he's a super nice guy. Also love his '61 Ventura. I've been a Pontiac fan forever, and Bob's really dialed in on subjects near and dear to my heart. I still wonder how he makes the Hasegawa film work so well, though I haven't tried the chrome but have tried the flat black and the silver carbon. Maybe the chrome has a bit more/better adhesive? It sure sets his build apart from anything using BMF.

Incredible and beautiful. Can someone be more specific about the “5.5 mm model landing lights” used for the headlights? I can find all kinds of wired LED bulbs for R/C models, but not the kind described by Bob as having the cupped back. Thanks.

Not a fan of the color, imagine that in any dark color, black, navy, maroon... But the build, holy moley. Your disbelief is suspended from a distance at jump but then as you drill in and it's still got the detail in scale... that is next level stuff. Love that bubbletop, too. 👀

SHOW OFF!! No but really a beautiful build, I’m getting better recently I started using chrome paper clips for break lines, fuel lines ect, they are easy to bend and drill in and glue, you can run a colored sharpie over them to imitate anodized aluminum lines 👍

Help me out guys.... Bob said he used "thread" to open the doors, hood & trunk. How does that work? Bob used thread like a saw blade in a Jewler's saw?
