Why not use one wire for 9 winds and one wire double the length for 18 winds?

If you make a rectangular loop and feed it from the middle of the short side it should be closer to 50 ohms. Co phase or arrays can also use lengths of coax as transformers same concept. Dipoles may also profit from some sort of transformation as they are in theory 72 ohms. However with them often being close to ground or other objects the impedance drops closer to 50 ohms.

Always confused about the number of turns....from other videos and the way other people count, your diagram shows 10 wraps to me....can you explain if that is 9 or 10?

That looks very robust! 👍It is somehow a pity you are not using a transparent cover for the box to enjoy that nice and clean setup afterwards. 😉

Very nice. I used the same design with a single FT240-43 ferrite, and on the VNA,the SWR is already 1.5 at 14MHz and rises higher quite quickly with frequency. I believe it should stay lower SWR up to 30MHz. My similar looking 4:1 balun does this fine. Any suggestions ?

Just place the QRM eliminator between the radio and amplifier, most radio's are only 100 Watts so no modifications needed.

I have a question that I can't solve at the moment. I can button the transmitter, it works! I can store frequencies in the frequency storage [M1 - M10], but a frequency change cannot be activated using the memory buttons. The frequencies can also only be entered without a point or comma. An error message with a period or comma appears immediately. Do you have any idea, do you use these [M1-M10] buttons at all? 73 Ingo

I am from the US. I have tried several different international codes/billing codes and I continue to get the same validation error you received. Sometimes it is an international billing code error and sometimes it is the billion number is invalid. (like yours) of course, it is because I continue to change the numbers. I have tried for hours to change just one number. You go so fast, I have tried slowing down your video, I can see that you made a change, however, it is not the same numbers. Very interesting Billy. A unique solution.... what phase angle and feed lines did you use. Christman at 1/4 is 84deg feeds with a 71 deg delay line . Has to be a bit different with 1/8 wave spacing. MM0OPX did some 1/8 wave phased verticals but I don't remember the angles. Nicely done and Brilliant.

Thanks for showing how to measure the stub. The Gainmaster antenna has also a matching stub, would the 1/4 wave of that stub be on 27mhz? 73 from Belgium.
