Nice shave Mark! Great looking scales on that razor! I like the looks of the JJ shorties 😎👍 The mirror I use is on the medicine cabinet above the bathroom sink, so I'm not sure where to find a good magnetic one. My last SOTD: Stirling Arance Mandarini soap and splash(Blackfriday scent), WCS Midnight Collection razor with a PAA Platinum Strangelet blade, and the TRC Cherry Royale synthetic brush. Have a good one! Steve

I just got my first Supply Pro razor yesterday and used it for the first time today. I love this thing! I am a rookie at using anything other than a Gillete razor, so it was a little odd to use. The shave was very smooth, and I knicked myself a tiny bit. That is probably something I'll figure out after a few shaves, but I did decide to sit it at number 1 until I get accustomed to this.

Good evening sir, allow me to tell you that you keep the razor and shaving brush holders upside down. That is, you turn it upside down. There is the point where each one sits.

@@FriendshipShaving don't worry i have also seen it by mistake from another video, from another friend who does the same videos and i saw that if you put the straight upside down and the screws are on the bottom it has a base that snaps on the razors and brushes. 😂

Nice unboxing Mark! I'll look forward to seeing the razor in action! I like the blade box and stands you got as well. I have a couple 3D printed freestanding razor stands that interlock. They hold the razors in a similar way (by the heads) I just don't remember where or who I bought them from. But they work great 😀👍 Have a good one! Steve

That shorty really is very attractive. It looks to the eyes of the uninitiated, to be ideal for a first time straight razor shaver. All in all, a very much luxurious shave with the highest levels of pampering. Wishing you and your mum(please give her my regards) a lovely weekend and a great week to come.

A slippy thumb sounds like some kind of emphasis. On the note of which,"soapy" refers, for foreigns in Thailand at least, to a form of gentleman's entertainment, involving a bath, soap, and a young lady/man devoid of clothing, providing said entertainment.

Barbers used to put pre-shave on before applying hot towels as well and again after I believe, I also like to let the pre-shave sit on the face for a bit before applying lather, normally 5-10mins during which time I build my bowl lather. I'm also a fan of doing a short soap semi-bloom (5-10mins is normally enough) with a teaspoon of water over the soap scoop in the lather bowl, particularly on my firmer soaps (not so much with creams nor really soft soaps) and start my bowl lather build with a squeezed out brush, works great for me. I also find synthetic knots do tend to "loosen-up" after 5-10 lathers. Very nice looking lather today as well.👌🤠👌
@FriendshipShaving
@FriendshipShaving 4 күн бұрын
The soap lathers so much more easily, as you know and what I like, is that I don't have any soap left in the bowls nooks and crannies when I clean it out. Cheers buddy, be well.👍

Hi Mark. Always find the straight razor shaves exciting. I just can't master that way of shaving. I have a small double sided mirror in a drawer but don't use it for shaving. Instead I stand in front of a big mirror above the bathroom washbasin. In terms of mapping the hair growth on my face, I have a good idea which direction the stubble grows. Like you, I don't have any unusual or challenging patterns of hair grown on my face. Shaving my head is a different matter, because you're shaving "blind" at the back of the head. I just try to feel my way around with my left hand to find the bits I've missed! By the way, Mark, did you receive an email I sent to you on 21st August? I thought it might interest you. Have a great weekend mate.

Hi David. I think I would find head shaving a bit of a challenge, to be honest. I suppose if I had to, I would soon get used to it but I'm pleased I don't have that extra chance to cut myself. I did receive your email, thank you. Take care, David.

I had the opportunity to purchase the stand when I purchased the razor. I didn't but now I wish I did. And apparently they do not sell them individually.
@FriendshipShaving
@FriendshipShaving 12 күн бұрын
I've done that with so many razors and then regretted not having a matching stand but sometimes, especially with stainless steel razors, the stands can be very expensive on top of the already expensive razor. It's quite the dilemma.
@tugboat8475
@tugboat8475 12 күн бұрын
@@FriendshipShaving The other problem with stainless steel razors is the packaging. You pay a lot of money for the packaging. Most collectors will keep the packaging. A normal person will throw the packaging or keep it to resell the shaver later on. If it come in just a little cardboard box bubble wrap, you'd probably save $30

That's a lovely looking razor and I did have the ALU version for s short time, with the wide handle it was great in the hand but unfortunately I didn't get on with the how it shaved, so I swapped it for a different ALU razor. I find many of the "G' type knots have a bit to much backbone for my liking for a Synthetic, I prefer the softer ones like Synbad or Cashmere.👌🤠👌
