Good for you, standing up to your in-laws. Divorce was the right thing to do. Your husband couldn't think for himsef

I get tired of the wicked MIL being in every story, but I realize these are from Asia. You do one of the best jobs. Thank you.

It's shocking how some family dynamics can be so toxic. My MIL was a nightmare, and my husband was too passive. I'm grateful we moved to Oz to escape. His aunt was even worse-she'd ignore us for weeks over minor issues. When my husband fell ill, her lack of support was heartbreaking. Did you ever have to deal with toxic family members, and how did you handle it?

What a horrid person was the MIL and the son a milksop. I never had a MIL but an Aunt in law. She wouldn't speak to us for weeks on end if we upset her over the slightest thing. Thankfully we emigrated to Oz and got away from her. She was supposed to love her nephew (my husband) but when he became ill. she never once called us. She would ring my Mum instead. Ruth down under.

This was interesting but stupid. They should have just stood up for themselves and kicked them out. Or at the very least, lock them out when they went on vacation.
