These motors can go up to 80k miles before a major rebuild

That compressor surge is so bad for the turbo bearings. Need to run twin blow off valves dumped into the turbo header. Turbosmart? Makes a heat rated valve just for that. It allows the air to bypass the motor and maintain spool instead of blocking the air from coming out of the compressor so it surges past the wheel and the exhaust side turbine intake goes negative simultaneously trying to pull exhaust out of the engine when that circuit is closed. Blowoff to hotside with enough volume and maintain quick response without surge beating the hell out the the turbo. It won't last fluttering like that.

i think many of you should learn the difference of dumpvalve and wastegate valve.the waste adjust ekshaust running throug the turbo,the dump lets preassure out of intakemanifoild when throttle off.to let the fan run "free".preassure is let out free or into air intake.many different types of dumpvalve.this one sounds expensive....

its an unavoidable compressor surge...yami 4 strokes compression brake when u let off the throttle...rather then a car u push the clutch in and it returns to idle while coasting...so u get a litle surge...not good but not like the end of the world either...
