@stonytina517716 сағат бұрын
@@Biancamakesit It is funny to see, indeed, but...TBH, it looks like it places an enormous strain on your wrist. You might not notice it for the first two decades, but when RSI and carpal tunnel syndrome hit you you might very well loose the ability to crochet altogether. If you can afford it, you should consult an ergonomics therapist.

Would help if you said what size hook your using
@Biancamakesit2 күн бұрын
The hook depends on the yarn you decide to use. the yarn I used calls for a 5.5mm hook. I showed the yarn I used in the beginning of the video, it’s the yarn bee pearlspun low pill fiber yarn

Beautiful blanket. All that work I know your tired of crocheting that blanket but you should put another row on for border, it will give it a much cleaner and complete finished look:)

did you make this pattern yourself? if so you did a great job especially for a beginner. i do recommend trying a knife grip just cause its easier to get your tension down and maybe a different way to hold your yarn so there is less strain on your wrist.❤❤❤❤
@Biancamakesit3 күн бұрын
I was taught a few different ways to make shorts and this is a combination of them! I agree though, i definitely need to get comfortable with a new grip because I keep cramping 😅

the blanlet is gourgous, although you moght want to start holding your yarn a little different. I used to hold my yarn the exact same way and it started hurting soo bad, dont want that to happen to you! try letting the yarn pass over the top of your finger.

I’ve just seen this video now. Have you tried ergonomic hooks - something with padding - it definitely helps with hand cramping. I taught myself to hold the hook like a knife rather than a pencil in order to use them. Made a big difference. Clover Amour are my favourites. Susan Bates has ergonomic ones too, or you might be able to buy a foam thingy to slip on the hook you already have. It’s a beautiful blanket!
@Biancamakesit6 күн бұрын
That’s a great idea! Thank you, I’m definitely going to be switching my hand position… or get a better hook like you mentioned 😁
