This is a great insight. It's amazing the whole movie was a mess of ideas, improvisation and experimentation then, from all of that, it was all brought together as a masterpiece. Totally punk rock filmmaking.

this scene is really sweet. it makes me wish I would have had a close relationship with a father in child hood. the cute little haircut HW gives him, the way Daniel squeazes HW on the train. ❤

How strange.. I'm watching this deleted scene for the first time, and just had a flashback to the last time I saw my own father. Ironically, I gave him a haircut under a tree in his back yard. Not saying that Daniel is a good "father" either lol My dad and I just watched this movie so much together that it's just something that's very dear to my heart. When I watch it, every second of it reminds me of him. I'm very sorry you didn't have a close relationship with your father, that breaks my heart to hear. My dad didn't either..but he was the best dad I could have ever imagined being given. In time, we are all better for our struggles I think.. best wishes to you ❤

Little detail I'm obsessed with: at about 0:47, when he starts to go around the corner where it's dark, you can see light reflecting off of his Tapeta Lucida (the part in dogs and cats eyes that lets them see at night and gives them the laser eyes) reflecting the ambient light in the area.

They killed him while his guard was down he didn't transform. We know this because he still has his clothes on. Looks like he was bitten on the head/face So he died in human form as the clothes get ripped and torn during transformation. After he was dead they killed the entire marine platoon with ease. In ldr armed humans stand no chance against a werewolf and there was 2 of them.

The werewolves of LDR are smart. The Afghan werewolf took out Sobieski first , then with his teen assistant, eliminated the Whole platoon with ease.

He loved HW. But he hated the thought of HW succeeding on his own even more. So sad he told HW the truth only to spite him.

He definitely had a complicated relationship with H.W didn't he..... There's no doubt that he used H.W's cuteness as a way to gain people's trust and to in turn get their business. But Daniel also has a soft spot for children. He was a very honorable man when it came to the wellbeing of the little ones. He was a short tempered violent fella towards most but never towards children. It's pretty obvious that he never showed violence of any way towards H.W. For one after H.W set the fire the reaction of them both says it all. When H.W came back and Daniel welcomed him home H.W punched him a few times without hesitation. Kids wouldn't do this to an abusive parent. Daniel even stepped in when other parents abused their children. He seemed to be Mary Sunday's Savoir. I think he felt children were the only innocent people and the rest of the world was just polluted and vile. And that it would corrupt HW.
