Impressive piece of art. What an incredible trip with a mindblowing final. Wish Willow farm hadn't been in the song but despite that misfit its a true masterpiece.

I meant to say the lotus eater has a radio edit version of the song. besides the longer album version. i hope "s1" has a longer version of this song on the new opeth album.

Brother, i am so stoked for this new album. the last 4 releases were good. when heritage dropped in 2011, i had low expectations and was bummed when there were no growls on that album. but when opeth released the next three albums in the late 2010s, i accepted the "no growls" feature on all 4 albums. and here we are, in 2024, and opeth is back with growls again. take note, this is a radio edit version of the song. i am sure the album will feature a full version of this song. think of this way my friend. do you remember the lotus eater? from watershed/ well, do you remember when there was a radio edit version of that album? and on the album, there was a longer version? same goes with S1. this new opeth song. i know there's going to be a longer version of this album on the album. i won't listen to anything else from this album. now that i am older i listen to only 1 song from new releases. to get myself surprised. this song's the soundtrack to getting to know a girl, that has been peaking my interest. a person who i want to become friends with first. haven't met her yet. but i am stoked bro. keep me in your thoughts my guy. so excited to meet her soon. she's a blond girl too. very beautiful girl with tattoos. and she loves animals like me. i know when i bust out my guitar she's going to fall in love with me and dig my guitar playing. i hope she can sing so she can sing me "harvest" by opeth. wish me luck. get ready dude. 2 months until "the last will and testament drops". will jam out to Opeth's entire discography on spotify on october 10 to get my blood boiling and pumping, getting hyped up for the new album. so excited to meet this blond. her and i have so much in common. i know she'll keep me extra warm during this upcoming winter of 2025 since she loves to cuddle too. 🥰

The piano intro is not in a major key, it actually switches between various minor keys. Bflat major, G minor and E minor.

Porcupine Tree and Wilson have remained mostly commercially unsuccessful, they remained niche, and being niche is always somehow falsely interpreted as being “quality”. They are not, there is a reason why they are niche, the reason is that they are medium talent. A light wannabe version of Pink Floyd and Peter Gabriel. Gvf musicianship is on another level and even a child can say it. Regarding the author of this post, I would reccomend some medical attention, you are young but look like you have a bunch of self immune diseases already? Please take care
