I think Frollo is as terrifying as his because he feels more real human wise. Instead of a supervillain with magic powers, you have a corrupt priest.

I think you missed the key thing. You mentioned you wanted the other guy in suspender to win. He would have. If you re-watch the end of the video you will see he notices the girl is rooting for the other guy as she likes him so he throws the dance off to make him win to impress her

I love this routine/performance and would love to know how Mischief Theatre began. One of my MUST SEE ANNUALLY Christmas video is A Christmas Carol That Goes Wrong. As it joins the ranks of A Christmas Story, White Christmas and the RSC's 8 1/2 hour The Life and Times of Nicholas Nickleby, that's pretty high accolades. I loved your reaction to this brilliance.

I'm glad you used a higher res video than most reviewers have used - you can see the crowd jumping up and down. The unplanned spontaneity of this makes it special in a way that later efforts never quite duplicated.

In fact, this version of ELO only had two singers. But in the studio, you can do a lot of overdubbing to make it sound like more than just two. Queen had only three singers, but they made it sound like they had a full choir on some of their songs.

I was wondering how long it'd take you to figure out Mr. Blue Sky is part of Concert For A Rainy Day. And yes, Mr. Blue Sky was written as part of Concerto For A Rainy Day, and then it was released on it's own as a single.

The "distorted vocal thing" on this track is actually a vocoder, which is different from a talk box. Both devices actually date back to the 1940's (the vocoder was used to encode confidential communiques during WWII). And yeah, I think most people think of Peter Frampton when one mentions the talk box, he was definitely the guy who had the biggest hit using one.

They DO have a whole orchestra behind them. The band itself was a 7 piece, but the two cellists and violinist would have to do a lot of multitracking to get the string sounds you hear on this and other ELO songs with just the three of them.

Dude, you're listening to ELO, and you're asking if you're hearing a string section?! The strings was part of their "signature sound", they actually two cellists and a violinist in the band.

If u are looking to watch classic animated Disney villain songs, I recommend I wanna be like you from the jungle book, the mob song from Beauty and the beast, savages from Pocahontas, hell fire from the hunchback of notre dame, mother knows best from tangled, be prepared from the lion king, and poor unfortunate souls. Some are very dark. Like the mob song sings about killing the beast, savages is about killing the Indians, be prepared is about killing mufasa and simba, and hell fire is about frollo lusting over Esmeralda and wanting to kill her because he thinks she’s a witch. Frollo is definitely the darkest and most terrifying and evil Disney villain ever. One reason is because people like him that think the way he does actually exist. He’s not some strong overpowered magic monster or anything. But it’s his humanity and the way he thinks that is terrifying. Many classic animated Disney villains are just bad because they want power or money like scar, Ursula, jafar, John ratcliff, the huns, etc. but frollo is truely so much more terrifying.

6:00 another popular villain song from Disney movies from the 1990s is hell fire from the hunchback of notre dame, poor unfortunate souls from the little mermaid, savages from Pocahontas, and be prepared from the lion king. Hell fire has to be the darkest Disney song I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe Disney would put a song like that in a classic animated kids/family movie. The hunchback of notre dame is a very dark movie. But I love it so much more as an adult.
