The pre-Broadway, A.R.T production of Finding Neverland with Jeremy really had something special. There was a magic to it that just did not carry on to the Broadway version. Part of that was, in my opinion, from some of the other changes they made to the show. But I truly believe that a lot of it was because Jeremy was so perfect in the role of Barrie and he put his heart and soul into those performances despite finding out at the beginning of the show's run that he was being replaced for the Broadway transfer. Plus the lowered the keys of several of the songs for Matthew and took out the key change in the titular song, Neverland. So many changes that added up to a Broadway show that never compared, for me anyway, to the A.R.T run. All that to say, if I could go back in time and see one show live over and over again, it would be this one. Jeremy absolutely killed it and shined as Barrie.

Thank you so much for the Jeremy Jordan reaction! He is so amazing, this cast was incredible. This scene is where J.M. Barrie gets the inspiration for his villain Captain Hook. In his imagination Hook is forcing him to stand up and believe in himself. Jeremy is in a movie being released in theaters in April called Spinning Gold. He is the lead and plays Casablanca Records founder Neil Bogart. I always enjoy your reactions! 🤗❤️

My Christmas present from my son this year was a ticket to see Jeremy Jordan live with the Houston symphony. The concert was Feb 24th and it was amazing. My favorite thing about him is that with that amazing voice, (he didn’t miss a note). He becomes a different character for each song and you believe them all. Being in Texas I don’t have a lot of opportunity to go to New York and not a lot of people come this far out. This was the thrill of a lifetime.

I mean... is Jeremy Jordan. He sings, act, Yes... He Dances! And has the charisma. He is complete! A God! he should never have been replaced by Mathew Morrison. Broadway doesn't know how to value Jeremy Jordan as it should

Great reaction. I love how you make the video large so we can see it better.

Honestly and sadly I genuinely believe it’s a height thing. For Hollywood (and yes Broadway is absolutely influenced by Hollywood bc that’s how they sell the tickets with “famous people” to have their bucket list moment) height still (and stupidly) matters and he’s too short for them at 5’10”. He is head and shoulders more talented than those that have gone on to replace him on Broadway or in movies bc 1. They are already famous so they bring what the marketers consider to be a bigger draw; and 2. They visually “look the part”. Both of these i believe to be holkywood's own stupidity getting in their own way. JJ is one of thousands that are overqualified and incredibly talented and likely will never receive the recognition deserved.

JJ is a major B'way star -- started as swing in Rock of Ages, went on to originated the lead role of Jack in Newsies (rec'vd Tony nom), originated the lead role of Clyde in Bonnie and Clyde, Tony in West Side Story, Dr P in Waitress (replacement), Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, in American Son -- Lincoln Center and now Jay Gatsy in the Great Gatsby.

I love Jeremy incredibly, but you also need to see Matthew perform it in the Tonys Award , When I saw it on stage, I was disappointed that Jeremy Jordan didnt make it to Broadway, but Matthew Morrison did not disappoint at all, he sang beautifully the ballads of this show . I believe that Matthew performs this piece better than Jeremy. See attached. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJbZdZitYp2iidE

Respectfully disagree. MM was awful. He couldn't maintain the accent or the notes.
