Do not travel there with a drone or you will have to leave it at the airport and pay a daily fee to them to keep it there until you leave the country. It was disappointing to not be able to fly in such beautiful landscapes. But it happened the same to us in Türkiye and now in India, sadly many countries are increasing restrictions

The rest of us are paying very high taxes, higher than other European countries sometimes, and having a small business is also taxed heavily when you start making some "good" money. The housing crisis makes it hard to buy or rent properties in Dublin and in other big Irish cities. Many of our friends who are buying their first house in Ireland are moving outside Dublin and they have to commute long time to the city to work. So it all depends on your salary and your job I suppose, maybe he meant for people making 80.000€ per year working for an American company. I still love living in Ireland, but I don´t think many Irish people would agree with him for most normal jobs 😅

Thanks for watching! When we visited in May 2022, we paid 14€ per person for the access to the Grotto, plus 5€ tip per person to the boatman (we read this is the minimum that they expect). For us the experience was expensive but worth it, we have never seen a place like the Blue Grotto. They are really good. What amazed me even more is when my husband accidentally dropped the tripod for the action camera, he told some of the guides. My husband just explained where he thought he dropped the tripod and they were able to find it. The dunes all look the same for me. How they were able to find it is beyond my imagination 😂
