WHY ARE YOU TRAPPING BOB CATS??!!? What the HELL is wrong with you???? Oh, right, money for your KZbin channel. SICK PUSS.

Pressure washer is good for someone doing a single hide. Easier than building a fleshing beam and buying a draw knife. Works best on sloped concrete. Step on edge of hide, using turbo nozzle, clean a strip and then keep pushing that cleaned line down the hide. It’s messy, but for a one off it’s a good option. Your channel is great, thanks for the content! Hope this info helps the non-pros out there.

Can you go straight from fleshing to salting and tanning the hide or is drying and rehydrating the hide required?

I’m a trapper For over 30 years, I taught myself how to catch coyotes I trap for numbers I average 180 to 230 coyotes every year I to have a very simple way I make my sets and I only have only have 3dz traps which I very rarely use all of them I work for myself in the fall winner 60 hours a week On top of trapping coyotes, I don’t get much sleep, but I love it I believe anyone that traps for numbers has to have their way. I’m making their set.

What a sad video and truly repulsive content. That cat's hind leg looks dislocated. Most likely why it is not leaving the scene after the attempt to set it free. If it were able to leave the scene it could have been shown.

I started coon hunting in the early 90’s with Walker hounds around Effingham Il. Hunting has changed and it’s much harder to find places to run hounds. I always used live traps to catch coons for friends and family, I would use those coons to train my hound pups. Trapping is basically a replacement for running hounds.

Always like getting a YT notification Coon Creek uploaded a new video. I’d be really interested in a review if you felt so inclined on which ..17 HMR upper you are using. .17 HMR in the AR platform has been a hard one it seems for the manufactures to figure out.

Great episode, really looking forward to the thermal videos! What grain weight are you shooting when you handload your .223 rounds? I had a Ruger SS barreled Mini-14 that I just couldn't get to shoot good groups no matter the grain weight I tried, maybe it was the shorter barrel. I was an expert rifleman in the Marine Corps using the M16 A1 and A2 and was shooting high expert using the crappy ball ammo they supplied us with shooting from 200 to 500 yards with open sights.

Trust me I'm not a Ruger hater but they have really never been known for there accuracy, durability Yes. Hand loading can help.

I just bought my first thermal (also AGM) and last week got the fox that was sneaking into the chicken coop. I didn't like the inaccuracy of my AR15. Does handloading make a giant difference to a semi-auto accuracy? I just bought a Ruger Ranch to help accuracy. Thermal hunting sure is amazing
@ndhunter6218 күн бұрын
Hand loading will help your accuracy, but most off the shelf AR's could use some accurizing. I'm not sure what make/model you have, but there are quite a few videos here on KZbin that will help you out. With a handful of common tools, a vice, a vice block, and a good armerors wrench like magpuls, you can do it yourself at home.

Have you tried different brands and loads at the range to see what it likes? Or just pickup a box and start shooting?
@fred4outdoors6207 күн бұрын
@@EricsOutdoorLifestyle I'm no schmuck. I tried a few boxes and various grains. My semi wasn't even close to accurate. I define "accurate" as .5 MOA. Most bolt actions are "pretty accurate". Just wondering how many people have accurate semis. Hoping the people that tell me their gun is accurate aren't the same type that miss 6 inches wide and say "yep that'll still kill". I want a semi for varmints but I'm afraid I won't get one accurate enough
@EricsOutdoorLifestyle7 күн бұрын
@@fred4outdoors620 I wasn’t trying to say you were a schmuck, but you would be surprised how many people just buy what they think are good booolletts and go. You can’t take advantage of most of the benefits of reloading in an AR platform. At least not and function properly. These platforms are designed to eat pretty much anything. I’d start with an aftermarket trigger and match grade barrel. From there you would have a decent platform to begin a load development. With this change you may not need to reload. I reload, and I went from 1-1.25 MOA with some factory ammo to best 100yd group at .65 MOA, averaging around .8 MOA. I mostly went the reloading route with it so I could use a specific booollett. Sierrra Blitz and Sierra Game Changers.
@EricsOutdoorLifestyle7 күн бұрын
@@fred4outdoors620apparently my response didn’t make it through to post earlier. I wasn’t trying to imply you were a schmuck, but lots of people buy a ‘good’ box of ammo and think their gun should shoot. Ar platforms are designed to eat lots of different loads and brands. First thing I would do is an aftermarket trigger and match barrel. You may have good luck after this with factory loads. I reload, found I went from 1-1.25 MoA with factory to a best 100 yd group at .65 MOA and average about .8 MOA. I did the aforementioned and some factory stuff shot well. I mainly reload for this platform to use specific projectiles. Sierra Blitz and Game Changers. None of the factory loads with those projectiles are accurate in my rifle.
