on those brake rotors- if you run a couple of carriage bolts through each side, they dig into the bottom, and aren't as easily pulled up as per that beaver.
@jeremybrownfield102511 ай бұрын
Why didn't I think of that? Good idea
@mikewhitman74511 ай бұрын
I haven't had one be able to pull the rotor up yet and I got a couple of 50lb'rs on them. I use 3/4 ton truck rotors, I was surprised to see that one get dragged around like that.

depends on the bottom..... hard bottoms they slide very easily .

More, more, MORE!!! Absolutely enjoyed these last 2 ride along type videos Stu. There are a lot of hidden gems to be learned from in the more raw footage. From scouting, setting, and catching (or not) I felt a more relatable sense of a day on the line. I really hope you keep up with this type of content incorporated in with your other great videos. It really helps out and is entertaining to watch. Definitely interested in watching you plug more sets in as well. It’s not redundant to watch at all. I definitely learned a lot more subtle things here. I appreciate the work you do putting these vids together for all of us, I know it’s a chore to do. Keep up the great work, Thank you!

When I was still young back in the 80s I would run between 200 and 300 traps. But most of them were in big rat marshes. It would take all day for 2 days to set out. Only had about a dozen dirt sets.
@MountPleasantFarmMD14 күн бұрын
I think you should take a few and do nothing with them. Just start using them and see if you catch anything. I often wonder if we try too hard. New trapper here but lifetime outdoorsman. (55). I love your channel man. Learned a ton already. I have 4 550s 2 DPS and 2#3s. So far 2 fox, 4 possum, 2 skunks in 13 days. Thank you!

Love your videos. Question: When you use the tire set, do you ever wonder if the coyote learns to avoid the tire in the future? I realize the one you catch won’t be around to avoid it, but the coyote that’s with the one that gets caught. Love to hear your thoughts. I learn a lot from watching. Keep the videos coming!

When it comes to the tire set-since you don’t have to pack dirt around the trap to make it solid does that pretty much make it freeze proof?

I saw those tires on the roof and said "Damn this guy get a bunch of flats". Only to realize they are for a trapping system.
