Everybody knows Jimmy Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Etta James... Yes, they are Gods of music. But also that unknowed people are music Gods.

3 Polish Jews out of every 200 survived between 1939 to 1945. The loss was the worst in Warsaw. 1.5%. Lest we forget.

I realize I’m wicked late to the party in seeing this performance, but I have to say that John Scofield would have been a better option on guitar that John McGlaughlin. Loved the Mahavishnu stuff and some of his solo stuff as well (Shakti, e,g,), but his style doesn’t fit here. He’s playing rock-like chops here, the exact opposite of what Elvin and Joey are doing here. Really feels out of place.

I see the sands of time in a noo-nar way. I see your angle, but it's half-empty glass? John doesn't have the same swing feel as some, it's no who he is, but that makes his interpretation of the track unique and interesting. You can see by his strange body twists and movements of the guitar neck that he's reaching, looking for something, extending out to put his spontaneous stamp on the song rather than just follow the herd. I love this. And his chops, he has intriguing note selection, I don't hear a lot of 'rock' aside from some of this pentatonic flurries?

Elvin Jones was a tidal wave of rhythm. This is an *excellent* example of this. He propels the music forward with a fervor that on the one hand forces you to listen and the other stays out of the way of the soloists. Without a doubt on the Mount Rushmore of drummers.

Something I don't understand if there were 360,000 Jews and Warsaw then why couldn't they fight back you're telling me 360,000 people armed could not have put up a hell of a fight they should have been preparing for this stockpiling weapons ammunition and food

Jews were passive back then, went against their faith. Still many are today but they are in Israel and are considered extreme

I bet they go thru a set of violin strings pretty fast. GREAT!!!! Gheorghe is fantastic!! I first saw him as the character Visili in "The Concert". He was amazing. I don't know if the guy playing the hammered dulcimer is grilling a flounder or playing. I don't know who they are but about 30 years ago I heard some guys like this but playing so much faster and with brass instruments. They were the "fastest orchestra in the world". Sort of like a Spike Jones kind of performance.
