Before I got my G19 slide cut for an optic, I bought an aftermarket optics-cut one to try out. It seems to work reliably now... but wasn't until I put about 2-300 rounds through it to break in the slide/barrel and hand polished most of the internal parts. For me the main appeal of aftermarket it that it's cheaper than buying an OEM and having it cut and refinished.

most pistols do not have after market barrels in them, so its going to be rare if you saw a problem in them because they are rare.

The Marines are overhauling their marksmanship program. The infantry marksmanship assessment, or IMA, uses points per second scoring, plus movement in shooting stages. They even have an app where they can compare everyone's high hit factor %.

Anyone who supports Caleb must not have seen the videos that Caleb made and Paul's rebuttal. Not surprising as Caleb took his video down once everyone in the comments noticed how much of a fraud he was. One thing he got right, I believe Massad Ayoob. kzbin.info/www/bejne/banbYqtuoMeSmNE

It's a big deal, shooters are not going to evolve without these concepts. you can spend a lifetime doing nothing if you're not careful. Imagine having a triple black belt in taekwondo in 2024.

Coming from first person experience as I previously owned one and ditched it. Also personal experience with probably 30-40 other cans. The RC3 doesn't make sense unless you have 5-6 guns already setup with SF mounts that you want to get a low BP can for. If surefire priced it reasonably close to the RC2 it would be a significant difference in sales and attitude towards it. The flash is only an issue if you aren't running an open tine fh like the 3p or 4p. I've shot it under nods on multiple host lengths and muzzle devices, and pretty much performs like an RC2 with an open tine FH. One thing to consider whether or not you look at sound reduction is the tone of the shot. The RC3 still sounds like a gunshot, just slightly quieter while something like an RC2, Polonium, etc have a significantly different tone to them. Personally own 10+ cans and have shot probably 2-3 dozen more.

"I know what I know, don't confuse me with the facts". . . I come across many of those folks in firearms so often, training, competing, etc. So many stuck in their ways, which is fine, but so many limiting others with their closed mindset. I've always approached firearms training, learning, etc as opportunities to add to one's (my) toolbox.

I dunno. The reason I shoot suppressed is for concussion mitigation. The sound dampening and flash mitigation is nice, but I like not getting rocked when sending it. /shrug

Can I assume you called your buddy Joel "inexperienced and a bad shooter" because he used the term "find" in a video you did with him a few months back? Of do you demean people for misusing a single word in a comment only if you think you can get content from doing so and it makes you feel superior?

Hey Ben, I am curious to hear your thoughts about using red dots with astigmatism. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a novice shooter, but I am struggling to find a red dot that works for me. Most dots end up a blurry star and I don’t know if it’s just my eyes being derpy or if I’m struggling with target focus. Any tips would be appreciated as the advice I’ve been given has simply been to stick with irons.

This is hard to take seriously after talking about the knife stuff.... after bashing these snakeoil instructor guru's you're going to finish the podcast talking about knife training??? This guy is rattling off brand names of knives that someone should carry to do green Beret Stuff? Seriously? Knife training is closer to player video games than it is to gun training.

This is all really interesting. I love competitive shooting but am a dog trainer by profession. I see the same thing happening in the dog training world. It used to be police and military K9 and the sport or competition K9 didn’t mix and similarly talked shit about each other. A lot of police and military K9 are now coming to the sport and competition people for the same reasons you stated with shooting. It’s refreshing to see this trend!

@@onpsxmember I was just trying to irritate Ben for being a hypocritical know-it-all Stems from his obnoxious reaction to a commenter misusing the term "find" and then Ben the FORMER champion shooter totally trashing the guy. Truly sad when someone only feels better about themself when they demean others. As an aside, Ben's buddy Joel used the exact same term and Ben seems to lack the integrity to apologize for his blatant hypocrisy. I guess of you're one of the few people who like Ben, you're allowed to use terms that others cannot.

Ill say this, if the NFA disappeared and no longer had tax stamp. The designs of suppression would totally change, from just basic cans. Everything would be intregal, integrated into the designs of firearms. Instead of an accessory, until that happens. They will continue to suck, for competition, unless you make your own suppressors. Imho.
