I had a bone stock blaster and my buddy had a bone stock 300ex when we were kids, those bikes were neck and neck, but my blaster would just barely outrun him on the road

Definitely picking up a set of those champions. I've had the stock rockers come loose with nothing but Mikuni kit, straight pipe, and proper jets. Probably hit 6k a few times. It gets scary cus it does weird shit when u try to start it again

Just curious, did you use the flat top piston with the original rod or aftermarket original spec rod? I’m just curious if it’s ok to use the flattop piston with an aftermarket rod with original specs for the 196cc clone, I already had the rod before I decided to use a flattop piston. I’m curious if anyone can answer this for me. And yes the flywheel is aluminum as well as the rod I purchased.

Thanks! Old school Mac shorty headers, x-pipe with no cats, Spintech 6000 mufflers, and mandrel bent 2.5” full stainless tips out the back (whole system from headers back is 2.5”)

Idk if it’s just me but my 1985 Honda trx250 basically the same quad mine overheats all the time like if I ride an hour it will overheat for like 20 minutes

Usually more aerodynamic and that much less weight (every ounce counts in this style racing) but in this case he took them off for more room when leaning from side to side since this is a small quad.

What all grit sand paper did u use? Turned out great I know the video is old but if u still have it I’d really invest in aftermarket a arms the ltz and ex a arms are a goofy design imo

I can't remember exactly but I started out with some pretty course stuff, possibly 180 gritt, then worked my way up to about 1000 and called it there. I wasn't going for a showroom shine, just wanted to bring the color back and smooth everything out a little. Yessir a-arms are in the near future for this week. It's been getting upgrades here and there behind the scenes.

In this video it was stock carb just re-jetted and no air box lid but currently it has a 32mm flatslide carb with no air box just an air filter on the end of the carb

For more power, these bikes are actually super de-tuned from the factory and just by adding a bigger carburetor, a more free flowing intake, and an exhaust it really wakes them up.

I raced my 416 in the gncc and FTR series in florida. Raced it through the hybrid years, into the 450 years. It never had a problem being competitive. The 416 will smoke a 440ex.
