Wow, truly beautiful composition and playing! George, is that the C7 from Keyscape that we are hearing in this video? Your touch is so musical, but the tone sounds better the Motif or S90ES hardware piano patches.

Beautiful piece, well executed: I hear some Lyle Mays influence there.

Weckl needs more drums and cymbals. Tom plays with less and has more feel. Weckl playing this same piece on Tom's setup, would not match Tom. Tom has more natural feel.

Я старый Украинский музыкант хочу дожить до того времени когда в Украине хотя бы три музыканта , барабанщик ,басист и клавищник сядут и сыграют хотя бы одну композицию на таком уровне,

At 3:50 Janek’s face says it all 😂 That lick george plays is probably the exact same line Janek heard coming before it happened.

I had not seen Tom Brechtlein in years! In fact I last remember him from Chick Corea's instructional videos. Matched grip looks good but he did rock the traditional grip back in the day :) Most importantly, his solo was very fresh, so glad to see see him at the top of his game.

I see a lot of pianists going for the Nord Lead (things like the Nord Grand 2/3/4/5...), packed with synthesis and synth stuff that they'll never use, Instead of investing in a good piano keyboard, that will make them feel 'at home' & as practial to transport as the Nord Grand ! George knows his stuff. Most pianists won't program a single sound on their fantabulous keyboard, & nowadays , every keyboardist likes to show of, at least , one red synth. Btw Love your channel! Recent subscriber, but a happy one. Keep them commin' and take care! ps really enjoying Tom's drumming!

I missed this fabulous drummer, I discovered him very recently in this video of 1987 with Chick Coréa and John Patitucci, which I suppose predates the arrival of Dave Weckl whose games and looks at the time are almost identical! kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4Ddi4yim5h6jpY&ab_channel=WilkisoNosikliW

A good friend sent me the link to this song...since then I haven't been able to go a day without listening to it numerous times a day...the melody, the arrangement, the lyrics and the vocals...oh, those vocals! Ellis Hall is absolutely amazing...I've been listening to him for years and I can say that without a doubt, this is one of his best vocal performances...
