I’m trying to normalize just talking about personal things bit more often. I feel it’s a good way to reflect and learn to continue to be happy in life :)

Love the video, I truly believe that if you follow your passion, it will always get you somewhere, even if it's not immediate. if you stay consistent with it and truly enjoy it, it will lead you to something great. I have also felt frustrated at times and thought I just wasted all my time and work on something. Thinking back on it wasn't a waste of time just because it didn't get the notoriety of the last one or I didn't like how it turned out doesn't mean much. Because I loved doing it. I also truly believe that it's not a waste of time if you enjoy doing it because its what makes you happy. Keep it up man!

Yesss preach!! I always try to encourage those around me to try to make something out of their hobby. With video creation, the highs and lows are extreme, which I believe makes it difficult for some people to stick to, but if you’re passionate about what you’re making you’ll learn from the hard times and thrive during the good times.

I've been avoiding watching anything about the AI Minecraft thing, because I find it stale. I've already seen how messed up AI makes everything. I'm sick of it!! The most intriguing things I've seen regarding AI and Minecraft are Emergent Gardens' videos about teaching AI to play Minecraft, but that is because they don't hype it up or say that the technology is going to end playing Minecraft, etc. It is fascinating and I enjoy the philosophy brought up in those videos. I believe that those who think that AI in its current state is creative or intelligent lack these qualities themselves. AI image generation is getting better, but it isn't art. It lacks intention and has little human input- it all ends up looking the same. Honestly, AI images have made me dig in my heels more about liking modern art. Modern art often requires some understanding of the artist and the context in which it was made to appreciate it. Say what you will about effort or aesthetics, but at least modern art usually has some reason to exist. The banana duct taped to the wall was a sort of commentary on what people will spend money on. AI has no intentions or context... there is no beauty to it, in my opinion. Cave paintings from our early ancestors are amazing and show that making art has always been a part of us. Video games are art too... they can be, anyway. Say what you will about some video games just being cash grabs or brainrot, but there are so many games that video game creators poured their heart and soul into. Minecraft is my favorite game. I have my opinions about it, but I enjoy that it has become its own creative medium. I feel like the AI Minecraft craze is going to die off very soon because it gets stale very quickly. There's only so many hallucinations one can sit through before saying "okay, I get the gist of it now, this is repetitive." I wonder if there could ever be another video game crash, like the one in the 80's, from so many bad games being released. I understand that back then there weren't many reviewers and it was hard to figure out what a game was going to be like before you bought it, and getting a refund was a lot harder (for the most part), etc. But how long will it be before gamers just stop buying new games because big companies have a bad track record? I don't like how human creativity is being thrown out the window for AI that some people think can do it better. I think corporations may know that AI sucks ass... but they also acknowledge that a lot of consumers can't tell the difference between a handcrafted story and one that AI crapped out. I think a lot of companies, not just video game companies, are figuring out what the least amount of money and effort is that they can put into a product/service before their customers have finally had enough of receiving crap. We deserve better!!!!! Sorry that was a really rambling post. I have a lot of opinions, so it turns out... to get back on topic, I agree that AI Minecraft is boring.

No need to apologize, I could go on forever about my issues with ai. I know corporations across the board are going to try to implement ai I just hope the consumer doesn’t fall for all of the future ai produced games, movies, etc.. I don’t think art will die because of ai but I do believe it will be harder to seek it out without a doubt

I have been thinking of starting a forever world and sharing stuff on youtube etc. Minecraft has always felt like a social game to me, and I think many others share the same sentiment, considering Minecraft gained most of its popularity through youtube. I've always been the kind to make a new world very often, but I've watched IBXToycat for a long time and always felt inspired by his dedication to his world and I like looking at the history of it. Minecraft is fascinating in that it has its own digital history that can feel so intimate.

And personally i'm not a huge fan of celebrating stuff, i like to just go "yeah man i did this and i'm happy about it." in my mind and that's plenty for me. Also i would love to be a part of a discord server for this channel, it is a small community, yet it's making me happy and i want to support it. Way to go dude.

Thank you!! And that’s fair! I am usually the same way but I’ve been trying out the whole self affirmation thing to help prevent burnout. I had a job about a year ago I left that I had been grinding hard at for years that left me super unmotivated across the board and I hope this “celebrate your wins” mindset helps decrease any future burnout. I’m glad you’re excited for the discord!! Can’t wait for it to be up and running. I have some ideas with what I want to do with the community I just wanna make sure the discord is perfect. It should be up within a week or two :)

Hi!!! i absolutely love your style and authenticity and ive always wanted to try to make get into content creation but its such a bit investment of time in resrouces in my head and i never knew how to edit so i would always just stream to the empty void lol but i think i want to try to do something like you are so thank you for making this video and motivating people like me :) btw what editing software do you use, editing has always been the thing ive feared the most when it comes to this stuff so idk where to start. thank you :)
@MortMortMortMCАй бұрын
Thank you for the the kind comment:) It depends if you’re editing mobile and on a budget I recommend CapCut just to kinda learn how to edit decent or adobe on pc. Editing is definitely not something you’re going to learn in a week, I’ve been practicing all year and still could improve drastically. If you’re diving into content creation, I HIGHLY recommend also practicing creating thumbnails which depending on the content is going to require multiple softwares to make high quality thumbnails. In some ways, I feel like thumbnails are way more important than the editing of the video itself. personally, I wish I had practiced thumb nails earlier on because I’ll do all of this editing but click thru rate is low 😅 hope that info helps, if you have any other questions I’m more than happy to give advice!

I hope you are doing well, thank you for sharing this.

A wonderful video!! You have a great perspective, with amazing commentary and insight! You totally earned a sub ;) I agree that slower-paced long-form videos are the future of the MCYT community, but I think it will take a while for people to really accept it or recognize it, as short-form content is still all the rage right now. People will have trouble moving away from the short-form content, as it has absolutely demolished our collective attention spans with doom scrolling, brainrot, and the like, but I'm beginning to see a regression, with MCYTers like SoupSoup (Great channel to check out, 100% recommend) as well as the other creators mentioned in this video! (Proud SirGiovanni community member :D ) Keep doing what you're doing! :)

Omg I appreciate you!! Thank you thank you 🙏🏼 You’re definitely right about short form content. It’s kinda rough to see how much of a detriment short form content has been. I was originally uploading shorts but realized I don’t necessarily want to contribute to the problem. Not all short form content is awful like I definitely prefer it when it comes to looking up quick questions I have about pc troubleshooting or something in the realm of solving a problem but a lot of the popular things are straight brain rot like you said. Anyway thank you for the sub :) I look forward to future conversations!!

Your video made me sit there infront of my desk for like one hour thinking of what I probably have missed in all that time.
