Now this is something I can relate to. Your modesty and honesty is a welcome change. I have subbed. After fly fishing since 1978, I too "hunt" for browns in the most difficult places and conditions. It is my sanctuary .... Continued success. Sincerely, Richard Bilovus

nice to see some of the bows recovering post WD in that watershed. I just hope there's still water there in a few months. Not a good situation down that way right now.

I don’t like to comment on chats, but 40, Years ago, I lived in central Alberta, and some of the finest and most rewarding fishing I’ve ever had is right where your at. Hard to wade there. Extremely difficult to catch browns….I learned how to adapt though. Fly fishing is great, but those creeks your at are nigh on impossible to land a dry fly on a nose under the overhangs…adapt…we stopped fly fishing there. I know…sacrilegious. We caught fish though..way more than we did on flies. Adapt..ultralight….How to reach those old lunkers under the overhangs. After 40 years, I’m coming home…to big, badass, CARNIVOROUS BROWNS….

HAHA. Thanks for sharing.... No doubt, fly-fishing these streams seems like an unnecessarily challenging method..... Especially when panther martins exist... I'm just a sucker for torture. Enjoy your homecoming!

small-medium streamers....Usually just a couple strips of bunny fur and dumbell eyes.
