Look it’s sad that Lawson fell and failed his community and family. Full disclosure I’m not a Calvinist. How the guy blew it, he yielded to his old nature and was eventually exposed. I’m not shocked because I have flesh too and it is easy to fall. This whole thing of acting like we haven’t all struggled at some point in some area is just silly and part of societies reasonable rejection and criticism of Christianity. So how about putting down your torches and pitchforks. Having a little grace towards others and stop preaching, teaching silly things like if you’re really saved you won’t sin anymore. It’s not that shocking when people stumble (sin), what was shocking is when lawson preached that a person caught in sexual sin; was probably not saved.

God will not be mocked. This man is probably unsaved - the fact that he could be behind a pulpit and have an affair - I don’t believe there is salvation for someone who does that.

How is it gracious? He blames God for corrupting the church and then states how it's a good thing because now he is purifying it. That's blasphemous.
