Nice footage, crisp image and the colours pop. Is the footage straight from the camera or has this been edited (apart from the obviously cutting together the clips, lol)?

Thank you. Was shot entirely in B-raw and colour graded in Davinci Resolve. I have a standard node structure I copy into every B-Raw clip which makes the editing fairly easy :)

Beautifully shot as always Sarah, brilliant. Also didn't realise it was your content at first as you've changed the channel name, but I soon thought this looks like the work of Sarah Scott, lol.

Aww thanks! Glad you recognise my style, means I have one - for better or worse ;) I renamed the channel as my focus originally was to share photos (no pun intended) but I find telling stories through video more rewarding so shifted things a little for the new year. Hope you have a great new year!

@@Landielf Your style is for the better trust me, lol. I understand, video can convey what we are trying to get cross much more than photos. Although I don't mind seeing other peoples photography too. My new year is hopefully going to be a good one. Recently finished a brutal night work contract and am really looking forward to getting out with the camera in the coming week. Wishing you a prosperous 2025, happy new year.

Another lovely short video from you Sarah. Cormorants and Shags are such under-rated birds. The other species were definitely a bonus, especially the Great Northern Diver. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Diver was a lovely bonus, apparently they're now a regular visitor to Looe Bay in the winter. Also hope you have Happy Christmas and New Year to you and your family too!

Wow Sarah, looked like a serene day at the beach. Cormorants were definitely in no hurry to do anything, except for one which tried to control the group. Pretty excited to see a Diver, my favourite birds. Thanks for letting us be there with you. See you out there!

Enjoyed that, so immersive. Particularly liked the pied wag clip and background vocals, but it’s all stunning. Great northern diver, I’ve never seen one ☹️

A bit of an ugly, unloved bird, the cormorant. Quite nice seeing them preen and stretch out those wings to dry.

Agreed, people do walk by them and many others because they look a bit like a dinosaur but that makes them all the more endearing. Plus they can be quite a striking looking animal in full sun!

A beautifully put together film. Great shots of the egret, also enjoyed the heron and shelducks too. Nice creative choice with the Timelapse and focus shift through the reeds.

Simply fantastic! I've been out after woodpeckers myself, before there's too much leaf to see them but not much luck so far. There's a wren that lives in my garden though so no special trips needed to photograph them 😊 Nice to see the native Red, we only get the scruffy greys down here.

The footage looks amazing, very atmospheric. The music adds to the mood as well, very ominous sounding. You are a skilled editor, unless the footage is straight out of the camera. Lovely clips of the Wren, for such a small bird they don't half make a racket, lol. Brilliant short film Sarah.

Thanks for the feedback! All footage was shot in either log or raw then graded in post (mix of DJI, Canon, and Blackmagic).

Excellent work Sarah! I know this part of the Ardnamurchan peninsula very well through numerous visits over the years. It is so relaxing to watch a video with just the sights and sounds of nature.

Very relaxing indeed, thank you Sarah. Beautiful reefs with all that bladderwrack! Loved the aerial shots and some fantastic behaviour from the stealthy hunting Heron...What focal lengths were you shooting, looks like there were quite a lot of atmospherics to deal with.

Thank you! Using 500mm and 600mm for most of the long shots, so when the wind dropped the heat haze was pretty intense.

Apologies for the soft focus here and there, this was my first time shooting entirely with manual focus so was a little tricky to keep up with some of the wildlife. Since then I've improved a lot and intend to return this year.
