It's sad how much we often look at how presidents are vilified and we forget the good things they've done as well as the bad. Nobody's perfect, we all make mistakes and we also help our fellow human beings.

A farmer and his wife are on the front porch when a space craft landed in the yard. Two space folks get out and walk over to the porch one looks male and one looks female. They tell the farmer they are there doing a universal sex thing whereas I have your wife and I'll have yours. So he says to wife what the hell let's do it. So in the bedroom with the farmers wife he pulls out his stuff and she giggles and says that ain't gonna do me any good. He says just twist my ear so sure enough it worked. The next morning the aliens left and the old man says well how was it for you. Best sex i ever had just wonderful. She asked him how was it he says good except my ears are really hurting

The fact that you completely failed at telling the joke just made it better. Reminds me of my grandpa; we still laugh at one of his jokes that he told wrong 20 years ago.

I love agriculture- there are two entities in this country that made it what is, the American farmer and the American military, thank you God for both.

What a grand man who spent his life on the farm. He has seen such change in his life.

I remember this like it was yesterday. We were in the middle of the worst farm crisis this country had seen since the Great Depression. In many ways it was worse than the Depression. I live in the neighboring county, and when word of Mr. Hill's suicide got out, everyone was in shock. Farmers in Burke County and all the neighboring counties were all trying to come to grips with the fact that many of us were in the same boat as Mr. Hill and we honestly didn't know what our future held.

I'm in my late 30s, I miss when elderly ppl were truly of a different world. When I was lil boy in late 80s early 90s ppl this age spoke of life before widespread power and indoor plumbing and definitely life before automobiles were owned by everybody. Seems the South was a generation behind. His points are spot on

I agree with him. Farm the way you want. I don't have the best equipment or hundreds of acres but I'm thankful that God has allowed me to farm and ranch. I've been doing it in some form or fashion since I was 8. I also started my family late; 47. I think momma and daddy are smiling down on me from Heaven. God bless all the farmers.
