I was 28 when I first heard the Heavenly voices of the Kings Singers. It was LOVE at first hearing! At age 65 now, the "affair" continues. ;) This Christmas song is a longtime favorite of mine. They sing it BEAUTIFULLY.

Cheers! 10+ years since you posted, but remains more than kind & much appreciated. (Most of us don't say it, as we don't care to admit to the problem in the first place… not the kind of thing one brings up at parties).

Thank you, King’s Singers, for an amazingly beautiful rendition of Kedrov’s masterpiece.

Beautiful . . . It brings me to tears, every single time. I don’t know why. Maybe because it has meant so much and you gave it to us like this during one of the hardest times, midst the pandemic, when we were all distancing and isolated in our fear and our grief. This song, sung by you 6, is like blessed balm.

My dad was German-born and spoke German in our home. My fondest memory is when, one Christmas Eve Mass, he sang Silent Night in German in his rich baritone from the rear pew of the church. Every head turned and people encouraged him to sing all by himself. It was such a magical moment in my childhood. I'm 71 now and still can't hear this song without that wonderful memory. I cry every time, wishing for time that was.

Oh what lovely memories this brought back. I sang it several years running and miss that group, but we’ve all moved elsewhere in the world.

My brother sang this in NI last night, which prompted me to search for a recording online. FAB-U-LOUS. Thank you. I met the original King’s Singers when they came to Ripon many moons ago. This has brought back happy memories. Again, thank you for sharing such a glorious rendition.
