You might want to try this before cropping: Cropping amplifies any camera shake. Use built-in stabilization in your editing software or tools like Adobe Premiere’s Warp Stabilizer or DaVinci Resolve’s stabilization features. Let us know if that helps!

Unless your testing center is doing something different (which shouldn't be the case) the FAA does not require any instructor to sign off on you retaking. I would try another test center. So test with the FAA do, but not the Part 107. Check out 1.6 on the FAA's list www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/aip_html/part2_enr_section_8.5.html#:~:text=Neither%20the%20Part%20107%20Initial,be%20retaken%20at%20any%20time.

Sorry to hear you could not find a test center. There are over 800+ testing centers here in the United States. At the end of this course, we have a lesson that walks you through "Scheduling Your Exam" at an approved testing center in your area. Chances are, there's one down the street or at a local airport. We've helped over 12,000 students find a testing center in their area, and pass the exam (first try!). FYI - Active Military can take the exam for free at a "Military Approved" Testing Center. You can find these on the PSI Website, and they will have a TAG noting they are a military center. Here is the link from the FAA page to find the center closest to you faa.psiexams.com/faa/login

If you are new, don't ever fall for a client promising that future jobs will pay better than the first one. Setting prices low, will mean that client and all future referrals from that client (the most valuable part) will be set at that low amount. The best strategy imo, is to build your portfolio on your own, or on spec, and tell a client you will shoot it at no cost to them, but they will pay (full price) to use it if they like it... Price sensitive clients, are usually the absolute worst to work with btw. They think what you do is easy or not worth the market cost, so why would they treat you well....

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Finding a bird would be difficult, I think. But it really depends on the drone's camera, the skills of the pilot, and the specifics of the environment. The issue with registering a drone/aircraft under Part 107 appear when users have a drone/aircraft without Standard Remote ID. The first question: Does your drone broadcast FAA Remote ID information? YES or NO If you check NO the screen changes and drops the UAS serial number field. If you Check YES and then for UAS Type select Remote ID Broadcast Module and for REMOTE ID SERIAL NUMBER use the SERIAL NUMBER of the REMOTE ID MODULE you are done, you do not register the REMOTE ID MODULE or pay a second $5. I have no idea why the FAA has a YES / NO, NO only works for recreational flyer so why the question is on the PART 107 registration makes no sense.
@altitudeuniversity
@altitudeuniversity Ай бұрын
It has to do with whether or not the module is a part of the drone (the manufacturer made it) or if it is a stand-alone model. Standard remote ID is like how a DJI Air 3 has remote ID built into it. The version that requires a registration and additional fee, is if your drone did not come with remote ID built-in and you purchased a separate unit like those made by Zing and DroneTag. I hope that helps clarify it a bit.

Getting into starting out in the drone industry had been difficult and it taken me months to actually get my first jobs in the paid industry . I started out with promoting an very expensive vehicle for sale in which there are only 200 in the world. I was hired for a home after hurricane Milton , job details after both hurricanes hit our area directly head on. Now I just received my first commercial drone job doing roof inspections for an entire community. It has been very time consuming to get clients myself but that's okay on the same note as I wish to do this on a part time basis focusing on real estate. One issue I have problems understanding, which is "always keep drone in line of sight". I fly a dji mavic 3 classic (thus not real small), always fly below 400 feet, and do not fly all that far away - maybe a 1/4 mile most. It does not take much for me to lose "line of sight" of the drone. I can see where it is from the camera, plus while performing "return to home" I can see where it should be. However, many times I still cannot find it when looking to sky where I believe it should be; even when it is apparently close to me on the return. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance; Chuck Devlin
