@@jimmywebb4130 I’ve had hatchcovers that weigh 45 tons. Containers are usually up to about max 37 tons. We do handle twin containers (2x20ft). These can weigh up to 65tons. That’s the max lift capacity of the twin-spreader. The swing is as big as you make it. The weight really doesn’t matter.

How are the straddles lining up the boxes on the plum? Lazer/light system? We use a lazer system that works off stickers placed on the straddles but we mostly use chalk marks on the concrete as they’re more accurate. Your strads seem to be nailing it down to the inch.

Discharging a container whilst there is a straddle under the crane is a sackable offence here in Australia. at 1.48 you can see the straddle . How unsafe do you guys work. ???? Looks like the crane driver is more interested in how many moves per hour rather than the safety of his work mates. I would never work there.

We are required to keep a minimal distance of one lane between the straddle carrier and the crane spreader. Lane 1 is most waterside and lane 5 is most landside. For instance, the straddle is on lane 3, then I am only allowed to go to lane 1. Lane 2 is therefor the bufferzone. It may look dangerous to you, and because you are not use to working this way doesn’t mean it’s unsafe practice. We are not allowed to sway the spreader over the straddle also.

How about showing some thing that requires skill. Like for instance . Water side cell , 6 high twin lift load. Loading 40 footers on deck like this is for 10 year olds .I am surprised you did not loose a twistlock in cell 6 being so rough .Trying to land and lock one side before the other and then getting a swing up like that .Took you six shots to land it properly. Shame on you. 🤣 Was not the wind buddy it was the driving. 🤣🤣🤣

But thanks for your well thought out comment and if you want to see “skillful” cell work then see my other videos. By the way, the positions on top of deck are called “rows” and not “cells”. These cranes are programmed with different safety zones. The crane therefore recognizes that I am lowering at the “lashing platform”. Safety wise it starts slowing the hoist down, down until it comes to a complete stop. This is pre-programmed. We can stop the hoist down before it automatically does if the pin men on the lashing platform wish us to do so.
