Why are the ac hose plastic. Imagine in a hot hot day that plastic will be sooo hot the air will be not cold. They should be insulated don’t you think. Or maybe the unit needs to inside trailer. Mmmm interesting.

This was a great review. Thank you. I, too, saw the fluctuation in temps that would lead me away simply because I solo camp. I would spend too much time (waste water) trying to adjust temps.

just connect to a 12V dc supply. like so many things using a power adapter they do not run on 120V AC. but on ? DC my c-paps both run on 12V DV. so easy to just direct connect to my rv. no converter or inverter needed. tend camping. just have a smaller battery, that can be recharged by a "fire" charger, hand crank, or solar power supply. as only needed while you sleep, the whole day it can get some juice back into the 12V DC 50 Amp lifepo 4 battery. lead acid is way too heavy to carry around in a back pack. some of these videos just make it so complicated.

We have one, and like it. It's very sensitive to input water temperature (shuts off if the water has been sitting in the sun), but very nice to have with our Hiker trailer.

Bought one back in March of this year, with the intended use of dish washing in camp. Where we "camp" has showers, so that use was not needed. Kept getting error codes due to the temp setting knob not being more "fine-tune adjustable", and the unit will shutdown if it gets to max temp. I did find an inexpensuve carry bag for under 16 bucks on a mazon. I store the hose/shower head/etc in a sturdy little, also inexpensive, tool bag from harbor freight. Will hang on to it though, in case of power outages, etc.

Place the shower head back in the jug to preheat and recirculate for warmer water, then use it
@mikeakervik143712 күн бұрын
This. Get the jug tempered by recirculating first. Should reduce water needs for the actual shower and have less major swings in temp.

I looked at that one and the one by Joolca. I purchased the Joocla model with a kitchen sink. Joocla makes a base to recycle the water for their unit. Look at the one by Joocla and see what you think
@markall864113 күн бұрын
I would guess a very short intervals of a navy shower is the key with this. that way it has time to heat the water and you don't get that hot cold game. but sounds like its not ready for real time.
@dominiciocca284213 күн бұрын
Yes it can, you just need the adapter. I bought one and got it a couple weeks ago. The pressure is not very good, other than that, the portability is awesome. I bought one of their storage/carry bags for a power station to use for this, they don’t make one for it for some reason.

It is low, but you could use a something like a Kelty Backroads. I use one on my InTech Flyer Pursue instead of the 270 awning it came with. It only weights 12 pounds, is easy to set up and take down, and you can put it on either side or on back, depending on your site. It is taller in the middle, like most tents, and you don't have trouble with water pooling on it like you do with flat awnings. You can open it up or close the sides for privacy. I even use it as a shower tent when I need to.
@glamorak15 күн бұрын
When you say it's low, do you mean short? I've been considering one of these for my hiker.
@cherylbarrett344315 күн бұрын
@@glamorak yes, this camper appears short enough that even 5'2" me would find an awning that came straight out from it annoying. My experience with the Backroads has been really good, but if I ever replace it, I might spend the money for the Highroads. It is the same thing but with aluminum poles. It should be even more durable.
@MWDAdventures14 күн бұрын
That would be a great option considering this one sits lower.
@jmac1313114 күн бұрын
@@cherylbarrett3443I have the Highroads to use on my Hiker. Everything is high quality with it, no worries about wind damage with the aluminum poles. It works well for my use on the driver side paired with my shower set up to create a bathroom/changing room. I also will use it to keep my Ecoflow Wave 2 out of the elements and run my hoses into the front vents.

I am seriously considering getting back into small trailer camping. I like what I see in Hiker Teardrops. I have one question--I have been driving Electric cars for 10 years. None of these have spare tires. With the advent of quality cordless tire inflators, a spare seems unnecessary if you have. a tubeless tire repair kit. Over the 10 years I have had at least 15 flats. I simply inflate the tire and drive to tire repair shop to get it fixed or use a simple tubeless tire repair kit. We camped for 30 years with a popup and never used the spare once. In this day and age do you really need to lug around a huge awkward spare? I don't have one for my car, why should I have one for a Teardrop? What do you think? Crazy?

Is this the 270 degree 23 zero awning on the mid range xl? Would you happen to have the height clearance under the awning bars? I'm 6'5" and im curious if I would have to duck.

About those pin holes... I just installed my brand new one today and the black liner was completely stuck together. So much so it took me an hour or more to carefully separate the sides so I could open it. I can't understand why they didn't apply talc or some other agent to keep them from sticking. I'm guessing mine was stored in an extremely hot warehouse or perhaps during shipping on some container ship. I also now have several "pin holes" and some that almost look like tears (in the black lining only). I've sent an email to Darche asking about the warranty.
