theres an app that you should include samsung vr to watch local videos etc was difficult to get going because you have to accept an EULA but will get requires internet you jus add a file to com.samsung.vrvideo in data folder if you google "samsung vr internet required" you will find the file this drove me nuts but your guide is amazing it worked im posting this because others may want the samsung app to work aswell as its the only app i wanted to get working again

Funny story Hear me out, when I was younger I bought the gear vr with a controller, and used it with my dad's samsung galaxy 7 edge had lots of fun with it but later moved on and I kept, I couldn't use the headset anymore,don't have the compatible phone and the compatible phone is outdated, so it's a waste to just buy an older phone that I will only use with this headset, but I had a galaxy A32 and looked everywhere if it's possible but didn't find the answers so I tried my self and got all the needed software to power a gear vr on a the A32, i got far but I don't have an type c adapter and also don't want to get it, but I tried the developer mode options but it kept crashing so there is no head movement but when I connect my gear vr controller to the phone I can see that it's working and have the side by side screen but it's just not right and the 3D illusion won't work that way when the screen is placed like that,but I am not an android professional or android programmer, If i was I would have fixed the problem, but still I tried my best and got far, and I am still curious on how I can fix this little problem, maybe if someone more knowledgeable of the gear vr would help me. But it was worth trying, so try it out yourself if you don't believe me because it's just a few apk's at the end of the day that everyone can download.

Does anyone know why "Facebook app manager" and "Facebook app installer" from the google drive link is not installing on my device? I am using an s9 plus and I have also tried using other versions of these apks that I have found on apkmirror. Everytime I try any of the versions, it just says "app not insatlled" And if I try to open gallery vr on the menu without installing these 2 applications, it just takes me to the download vr apps screen Any help will be appreciated 😅 Edit: i have looked into it and it turns out the the app not installed screen is because the application was made for a lower android version.(correct me if im wrong) Does anyone maybe know a loophole around this or if there is anywhere that i can find versions of these applications which were made for higher android versios such as versio 9 as that is the version on my device

What an amazing video! Got my Gear VR up and running again, finally! Thank you for linking the newest method of fixing this because what you did in the video wasn't enough as it was stuck in the dreaded update loop. But I followed their instructions and it works great! Plus it's mind blowing how many games and apps they have in the vault! I'm not gonna get any sleep tonight! Thanks again!

Hello, I'm having issues with importing. At 3:22, at the bottom right, I only see (All supported *swf) and not Ai and PDF. It seems like I have some limitations. Help!

@@mazzoli98 Unfortunately, it seems newer versions of Harmony have unintentionally removed the ability to import PDF and AI files. For more info see this post from the toon boom forum: forums.toonboom.com/t/no-longer-a-ai-import-option/22716/10 The only solution I have right now to get around this is to use Harmony version 22.0.1.

READ THIS UPDATE 👀❗: Something else you can try if you're still facing the update loop issue is uninstalling the updates for the ""Meta/Facebook App Manager" and "Meta/Facebook App Installer" apps using these steps: 1. Go to your Phone's Settings >Apps 2. Under the 3 dot menu, enable "show system apps" 3. Using the search bar search for: "App Installer" and "App manager" to find the "Meta/Facebook App Manager" and "Meta/Facebook App Installer" apps. 4. For those two apps try uninstalling all their updates, disable them and then re-enable them. This should restore the apps to use "Facebook" in their name instead of "Meta". 5. Try launching a VR app from the Gear VR app. You may also have to prevent those apps from auto-updating by disabling auto updates from the Google Play Store app and the Galaxy Store app as well if you have it. Also note in the video I was using a factory reset phone only for demonstration purposes and it is not required for following this tutorial. Make sure however that you do have a Gear VR compatible phone to follow this tutorial. You can see a list of them that are compatible from this Samsung Support page: www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/which-galaxy-smartphones-are-compatible-with-which-gear-vrs/ If you still continue to have issues even after trying what I've suggested and the below update loop fix instructions from Gear VR .NET, then there is honestly not much else I know of that I can recommend for you to try. I did all the steps but it won't let me install, Facebook App Installer 37.1.4.apk and Facebook App Manager 37.1.4.apk and when I open the application, it takes me to the download screen, please help

You might have the newer versions of those apps already installed which are preventing the older versions from being installed. You will know if that is the case, if your phone shows those apps have the word "Meta" instead of "Facebook" in their names. Here are steps you can try to remedy that: 1. Hello :) I am not sure if I can help you or if I understand your question, but if you wish to install the Occulus apps on another phone, that is possible, so long as that phone is compatible with the Gear VR Headset. A phone you could use instead of your S8+ is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or 9 but it's hard to buy them in any condition other than refurbished since they are older phones. I hope that helps you!

Can't make a new oculus account via Facebook ? When I am asked to verify my email add there pops up a notification that says " unsupported post request " & so can't get any further ! Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊

It can be installed for me without sideloading it but its not letting me in if i sign in with my oculus account it says no Internet connection and when i try to sign in with the facebook account it must link it with an existing meta account but when it click link and continue it load for a second or 2 then nothing happens help me

What do you mean ? How do i bypass logging in to Oculus as soon as i put my phone into the headset. Is there any way that it wont ask me to login. Because login always fails.

Mine does not log in .i connect it to facebook but it requires password which i donot remember and after clicking forgot password.it returns to home page again.and if i click make new account.and after putting all information and at the end page where it says to send confirmation page it says no network connection although my internet is ok it keeps doing it and iam unable to log in to it..give me some solution

@@cawcaw9105 You might have to try different APK versions in order to get it to install properly. Some APKs only work with certian versions of Android. I'm not sure what phone you are using, but if it isn't compatible with Gear VR, then that could be another possible reason for why the Gear VR service cannot be installed.

You are refering to the gear VR home menu which is now blocked by a "App Login Required" message right? It seems you can no longer use that menu to launch apps, but you can still bypass the login required message by starting up one of your sideloaded vr apps via the Gear VR Service App and then press the home button on the gear vr headset to navigate to the home area. Though all I've been able to do so far from the home area is just changing settings like brightness and using the video recording feature. I still have to take off my GearVR whenever i want to change apps sadly.

I actually had the same problem and it's possibly related to Facebook changing their name to Meta which may be causing the "Facebook App Manager" to be registered as "Meta App Manager" on our phones. I'm unable to replicate the exact steps to solve the problem but try out the following and it might work out for you: 1. Go to your Phone's Settings >Apps 2. Under the 3 dot menu, enable "show system apps" 3. Using the search bar search for: "App Installer" and "App manager" to find the "Meta/Facebook App Manager" and "Meta/Facebook App Installer" apps. 4. For those two apps try uninstalling all their updates, disable them and then re-enable them. This should restore the apps to use "Facebook" in their name instead of "Meta" 5. Try launching a VR app from the Gear VR app.

❗CORRECTION at 9:20 part of the video. It turns out Illustrator files also have this scaling issue when imported into Toom Boon Harmony and it's because Harmony currently imports all PDF and illustrator files using the default resolution of 720x540 (i.e. 4x3 aspect ratio). I forgot to mention in the video that changing the Preferences Menu's Drawing setting for Smooth Curves, Recongize Lines, and Recongize Shapes to "Off" doesn't make any difference and the issue still persists.

To avoid additional anchor points in the object, do not select parts of the object. If you want to make an animation with a shape, then drag the arrow over the existing points.

@@MrAlejo58 unfortunately, even if you edit the bezier handles of existing points, new points are still created sometimes as the video demonstrates. Granted moving the existing points instead of their bezier handles could be a workaround however this means you have less control over the curves of the shape.

HI, quick question. In adobe animate, I love to draw by removing the screen and flipping it to make it like a drawing stand but when I do that I dont have the keyboard anymore to ctrl Z would you know how to undo without the keyboard when you are drawing in this mode

Yes, look up Tablet Pro Artist Pad on the windows store or its website. It's a program that basically gives you a side dock on your screen filled with customizable shortcut buttons. However, i now perfer to use a wireless numpad that i map shortcuts to. Just more responsive and gives me more screen space.

I think animate cc since it was adobe flash, it always have brush sensitivity issues. The canvas in animate is not to sensitive compare to photoshop, it dont know why, i also use toonboom, its brush is pretty good, i will really suggest adobe to try to fix that issue in animate cc.

At least now Adobe allows you to parent layers which is the best replacement for the bone tool. I've been waiting for that feature for a long time and I don't anticipate Adobe will ever to go back and fix the bone tool.

WarriorsMustang17 Me too. I just wish Adobe would actually get around to solving these bugs. Especially since they received bug reports on this problem years ago. I assume if more people used Armature animation Adobe would make it more of a piroity to fix it.
