john , thank you so much for telling us this in detail. i have 2 questions 1 : i own a business, and i applied EB3 for an alien worker from back home and his PWD just got received but the desired salary amount , so my 1st question is , how long do i have for advertisement , like in how many months do i have to give ad in the news paper ? and i know i'll have to pay for the news paper advertisement for 2 Sunday's ad 2 : and second question is how long do i have to wait for after the advertisement before i can file PERM for him ? I don't understand how it can be 36 months when the current priority date is December 2020, and it has been for few months now which means it is retrogressing. So if you apply for PERM today which is going to be your priority date (October 2024) for you to even be able to go through the consular processing you are going to have to wait 46 months to this date if we assume that for every month that passes priority date moves for one month. Which is probably not going to happen since it is retrogressing. And if it continues to retrogress you can add more months on it, not to say before you apply for PERM, which is the date that is going to be your priority date, company has to determine prevailing wage, prove that it can't find employees and so on. So you are gonna wait at least 6months before Perm can be filled. I have had first contact with employer on July 2022, Perm was filled on May 2023 which is my priority date, Perm was approved on June 2024, just recently I140 has been filled. So thats already 27 months that I am waiting. And I can add to that the difference between December 2020 and my priority date which is May 2023. That's another 29-30 months before I can go through consular processing like I said assuming that priority date is not gonna retrogress anymore and it is gonna go up for every moth that passes. So as it looks like currently I am looking at 57 months minimum just to reach consular processing part. I have been following this channel for a while and processing times were not accurate.

Hi Mr. John.. I am a cruise ship worker who only returns to my country (Indonesia) once every 6 months. I want to apply for an EB3 Visa but I know that the last step of the EB 3 Visa is an interview with the US embassy/consulate. Hello. The table says that the month of February 2024 is being reviewed by the department. Is it expected that the answers of February 2024 will come out now in October 2024 or November2024 if February 2024 still has 978 applications left .
