@@hackengineering5586 thanks I’ve seen that before , I know you can get different dyno readings depending on conditions even run back to back and let car cool etc , i want to believe it but I think the Helmholtz is there for a reason including engine harmonics helping with the pumping pulses and maf sensor readings , maybe I just need to buy one and try for myself

What if you use the speed engineering lower part instead of OEM cause it’s practically the same?
@hackengineering558621 күн бұрын
Shouldn't be a problem, although the Speed Engineering lower airbox part is smaller than the factory one, so may be tight on the air filter. Would sound great!

Achtung mit CANCHECKED!!!! DIESE PRODUKTE FUNKTIONIEREN OUT OF THE BOX NICHT!!!

Does the brake fluid change not need a computer hooked up for the ABS and clutch?
@Perazzi1127 күн бұрын
no
@hackengineering558625 күн бұрын
A full bleed would. But as we're pushing the old fluid out with new, it doesn't require the ABS unit to be purged. No clutch to bleed in our case!

@ltakallenАй бұрын
They are nice, if you upgrade get the Aluminum Spark Plug Tubes. You will also need several gaskets and also get the NRW Grommets. You should also replace the Vanos covers when you perform the change. I did. I also die spark plugs and fuel injectors, idle control and throttle body control. I went ballistic, but I feel great about it and My E93 purrs like a kitten! Smiles per gallon 😊

Thanks for getting back. "Piston to valve aproach... " I don't get what you are saying there?

This is the term used for the piston coming up to top dead centre of the bore (and so, approaching the valves)

@@hackengineering5586 Do you create solid lifters or hydraulic lifters?
@leh3827Ай бұрын
@@hackengineering5586 Are the lifters you make solid or hydraulic? I got crossed wires in there somewhere. Thanks for your patience.
@hackengineering5586Ай бұрын
@@leh3827 in this video you're seeing hydraulic. We do also offer solid lifters for many BMW engines, but not mentioned in this video. During engine building we 3D print a solid lifter to take out any misleading hydraulic issues. This is purely for measuring purposes, and not for running the engine with.
@leh3827Ай бұрын
@@hackengineering5586 Thanks for setting me straight on those things. I would like to ask you the main hydraulic lifter installation question I have come across. Do you soak lifters in oil and pump them up before installing them. In days gone by Everyone said toss the new or freshly cleaned hydraulic lifters into a pan of oil, and pump them up using a push rod while keeping them submerged, before putting them into the block. I am working on a 1996 Chevrolet 5.7L Vortex. People are saying set zero tolerance and then the prescribed lash adjustment (3/4 turn more than zero tolerance). I personally can't see any problem doing it with pumped lifters besides the fact that you would have to wait for the lifters to bleed off before running the motor. Do you see it this way or am I way off?

I'm literally just taking this off my car this weekend, mines LS swapped and even with some 300 cell cats in it's loud, particularly at idle. I suspect this is mostly due to the displacement difference (stroked LS3). It's a shame because it's a nice piece!

Hello, how much power do you run on the track? And how is the turbo lag with pure 800?
@hackengineering55862 ай бұрын
We run full power on track (~580bhp on pump fuel) and there isn't really any lag as such. It comes on boost by around 3000rpm and is quick to respond above those revs. Very impressive turbo.

Very nice!!! I ran AST 3-way on my old Skyline, had absolutely no idea how to set them up but they rode much nicer on the road than the Tein race shocks the car came with from Japan. They failed to make me any less slow but can't blame them for that! Did you get any lap times? Would be really useful if you could show us how the times improve with mods 👌👌👍👍
