GAZE: to LOOK steadily especially in ADMIRATION, surprise, or THOUGHT. (Hebrews 12:2) What are your eyes gazing at?…..because whatever you spend your time looking at will ultimately determine whether you will be Spiritually victorious in your battles to keep the faith, or you will be defeated by the negative things that you allow your mind to SEE and think. You see?…there is a very high probability that a Christian would find him or herself doing the very thing or things that constantly occupy his or her mind. As Christians, we must realize that when our minds are occupied with a particular desire, the desire first must enter into our minds through our eye gates before it can become a part of our thought process. Our desires are normally something admirable that we had seen with our MINDS; that somehow triggers our imaginations to believe that it is (possible) for us to receive whatever we had seen and desired. For example, Peter had a strong desire to come to Christ as Christ stood upon the water. Peter too, was able to walk on top of the water as long as he (continued believing) that it was possible for him to do so. It was Christ who had made it possible because Peter’s eyes and MIND were fixed on Christ and on the direction in which he was traveling….and not on his frightening and troubling surroundings. Initially, Peter was victorious in his walk of FAITH in Christ….but the moment he had decided to LOOK away and allow his mind and HEART to become filled with doubt, he became spiritually DEFEATED and began to sink into DARKNESS. There is an old saying that says, “Wherever our eyes go, our MINDS and bodies will follow.” 📖 Luke 11:34 📖 Your EYES is the lamp of (your body). When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Church, the Lord has made it clear by saying, it is the things that we are LOOKING at that (will) either fill our bodies with the spiritual LIGHT of the gospel of Jesus Christ or it will fill our bodies with evil darkness. It is Satan, the god of this fallen world who desires that Christians walk in confusion and darkness, not Christ! 📖 2 Corinthians 4:4 📖 The god of this age (Satan) has BLINDED the MINDS of unbelievers, so that they (cannot see the LIGHT of the gospel) that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
